[ Jedi Temple ] Training with the Xomlirga, second try
Trigiel looks with excitement at the Xomlirga and Ajava how they jump away and then with sadness to Jaicen his stumbling. Trigiel wants badly to jump his way through the jungle, but he could not abandon his padawan. Therefore, Trigiel decided to take the slow and stedy route. They are in the jungle, surviving is not about who reaches the lake first but who reaches the lake best.
"Jaicen, remember, take your time. Taking the slow route and live is faster than taking the fast route and die. And remember, we do this together."
Trigiel watches how Jaicen navigates through the trees. If that goes well, the cyborg goes a little ahead to test the route and then returns to show Jaicen the way. If Jaicen seems to require help, Trigiel uses the force to help Jaicen stay on his feat or to cross impossible jumps.

With some regret Jaicen watches the Xomlirga and Ajava as they speed away so easily, for a moment reminding him what he could be if he didn't had that accident. He pushes the thought away rapidly and instead focuses on his footing after hearing the wise words of Fecta Trigiel. Carefully balancing his steps and sometimes going on all fours when he deems the path too slippery.
"Do or do not there is not try, and I will do it. Carefully as possible" Jaicen says to Trigiel.
If Jaicen almost slips he will not be afraid to call Fecta Trigiel for help, it is better to surive than to have useless pride.

Jaicen - being carried by TG-100 - slowly and carefully managed to make his way across the tree branches, stepping onto one, then the next, to make sure he didn't fall. With the help of Trigiel and some safety provided by Ajava, eventually they managed to make their way through the tree tops, with the Xomlirga impatiently waiting for them to catch up again and again. Jungles weren't designed for those with special needs, it seemed.
Eventually, the group made their way to a section of forest above a lake. Ajava recognized the spot where they had arrived - it was the place where their ship had rammed its way through the canopy to reach the water below. She recognized the tree roots they had jumped over well below them, and the flowering tree nearby as well, and there was the spot where they had made landfall...
But instead of an open clearing where branches had been cleared, the entire canopy above had already been refilled - new branches, as well as old ones that had moved to catch the sun, had filled up the hole they had made but a day ago. It seemed almost impossibly fast, given the size of the hole that their ship had made.
This was actually going to be a problem if they wanted to make their way back onto the ship after calling it down from orbit... the Xomlirga did not seem to think it such, however and seemed reasonably happy with the way the forest had restored itself.
"Do you know where you are?" she inquired, mostly of Trigiel and Jaicen rather than Ajava herself.

After the question Jaicen took a good look around, trying to figure out which place they arrived. Knowing this was an important question of the powerful being.

))The place where we landed a day ago" Jaicen said: "A place where the, .. living .., forest got hurt, but healed herself. Furthermore, we are in your forest, which is a big part of you. I could be wrong, but that is what I think."
And with that answer Jaicen looked at his master if he agreed with his assessment of the situation.

Ajava, recognizing the location, threw a slightly startled glance at the regrown canopy. They had been here for only a day and already the damage from the -- admittedly not exactly elegant landing -- landing was being utilized by these plants. She knew of a few fast-growing species on Mirda, species that can completely cover and overgrow a city wall in a week, but these plants seem to be the "fast moving" kind.
It's very intriguing.

Trigiel thought for a moment about the question from the Xomlirga: "There is a whole array of philosophical answers I could give, but if I am not mistaken, I believe we are somewhat close to where we landed our ship."
((OOC: I have very good reasons why Trigiel believes he roughly knows where they are.))

Jaicen looked around, but he was not able to tell much more than the fact that they were above a lake of some sort. By the duration of the trip it was not too far from where they had left off, even with Jaicens slow speed through the canopy.
The woman nodded to Trigiel "Very good!" she noted "The forest has already closed up the hole you so rudely poked into it" she didn't seem too offended by the "hole" being "poked", so likely she was not upset about that. "That should tell you two important things. And one of them is that the forest can restore itself quickly."
She didn't explicitly ask what the other point was, though that was no doubt an important question to be answered.

Jaicen thought for a moment and said: "Even on water, trees can grow?" He really hoped this was philosophical enough.

The woman seemed confused for a moment at Jaicen's answer. "Right..." she nodded "That is a strange thing to you."
It clearly wasn't the answer the woman was looking for, though from her facial expression, it seemed to fit into the narrative.

Ajava is not sure what to make of this line of questioning, but she has the suspicion that it is going to end with a very clear "It is best if you leave now."
She did not want to interfere in how the other two were handling this, and instead listens to the sounds of the forest, hoping to learn some things about this interesting planet before they were politely booted off.

Trigiel thought for a moment, while still covered in poop.
"It tells me that this forest works fundamentally different than the cities and parks I am used to. As a result, it is not doable to live against the forest. You cannot go here and believe you can set the world to you hand. You must blend in with the nature like you are living here for a long time and will be living here for a long time to come.
That is also what went wrong with the pooping birds, we were acting like strangers and thus the birds got scared of our presence."

((OOC: I was indeed being a slowpoke. This being said, Jaicen's post was answered a while back. He suggested this was about trees growing on water and she replied to this.))
"The forest works very differently from your cities and parks." the woman nodded in reply to Trigiel's pondering. "When fish come into the canopy, they cannot swim there." she explained, not entirely certain if the Jedi knew that "So they become food."
"Fish in the canopy should go back to the water, where they can swim, before the forest swallows them." this seemed like a logical conclusion to her, but she mentioned it explicitly as she had realised her trouble in communicating her intentions and goals.
"I cannot teach fish to run, no matter how hard we both try." she looked at Ajava almost apologetically, as if admitting defeat in the attempts to teach.
But despite her failure to share the mysteries of the forest she had intended to impart, she did not let them go entirely empty-handed. "But if the Jedi need the aid of the forest... they have tried and tried again to be friends to it. And the forest will remember that."

Ajava was saddened that they were politely asked to leave. There was much she hoped to learn from this world but her companions are indeed, as the Xomlirga explains, fish out of the water on this world.
"Thank you.", was all Ajava said verbally, though her expression was clear: she was disappointed that their time on this world was coming to an end.
Turning to Trigiel and Jaicen, she said: "Can you recall the ship? Make sure it does not poke a hole in the forest, so have it hover above the canopy. I will get into it first and lower a rope for you to use."

Well, this horribly sucks, Jaicen thought to himself. Okay, the only thing they did wrong was alerting the birds, but at least the being ought to give them a real chance, she asked them here to train with us and we traveled very far, if you are in a strange place you have to adjust for a few days.... She never even fucking tried, and basically gave them once chance and already came to the conclusion we were not fit to learn. Trigiel gave a decent answer to her question... but still she didn't like it for some reason. Jaicen was just starting to like the place.
"Okay." Was all Jaicen said. "Thanks and goodbye. Thanks for trying to be our friend and trying to teach us."
Turning to Ajava he nodded and used his communicator to recall the ship in the method Ajava described.

For a second, Trigiel became angry that they are turned away before they even finished a full cycle on the planet. How can he learn as he has to leave just the moment he starts to grasp the forest! Those who are observant can see the headlight of Trigiel flicker red for just a second before he manages to get a hold of himself again: "Please, allow us to stay for a bit longer. A fish might surprise you."
Then without really waiting for a reply Trigiel looks down to the lake. Although the Xomlirga said that they could wash here, he is not certain enough that he could just jump right in. With help of the force he concentrates to see if there are potential dangerous creatures down in the water.
((Check: 15 = 7 Force Level + 6 Vision + 2 Force Vision -- sensitive optics (infra red, ultra violet, night sight zoom function), to see if the water is safe enough to jump in (force vision 1 for living beings)) ((OOC: I know that the party is high in the trees, but I trust in Trigiel his excellent vision skills :P))
"In any case: we came here to wash, so that is what I am going to do first."
If the water appears to be safe, Trigiel jumps down using the force to evade branches and trees and to safely land directly in the water.
If there appears some sort of danger, Trigiel jumps down but tries to land on one of the branches, not in the water.

As Jaicen and Shebi Ajava recalled the ship, Trigiel worked his way down and safely landed in the water.
But then, just as he splashed into the water, the entire earth shook, trees trembling, birds flying off and rustling in the trees as wildlife ran off. Surely Trigiel had not landed in such a way as to cause anything bad to happen...?
The woman's big eyes went wide, clearly as surprised by the sudden shaking as the other animals here.
"If you can, you need to leave -right now-." she explained and this time it wasn't a request but rather a warning. As if something was heading this way which the woman could not offer protection from and which would do more than merely poop on the heroes.
The trembling continued, branches shaking and leaves falling from the trees. Something bad was about to happen...

"Ow yeah, we get it, we have to go away, you don't have to summon a random creature for this .." Jaicen thought to himself, and his facial expression said about the same. He did see the facial expression on the woman, but did not quite believe her. Just in case jaicen checked his gear and TG-100 right arm was near his deactivated lightsaber, ready to fight.
With his normal body he kept guiding the ship towards their spot, and he did not really care about any trees the ship might crash in. If he was able he programmed the ship so that it would arrive right next to them, but a few meters below their position, near the water, so that Trigiel did not need to climb up again.

Trigiel notices the sudden unrest as well as he washes of the poop. "I did not cause such a tremble did I, otherwise I really should check better how much I eat." He says over the holo comm, not sure any more if Jaicen and Ajava had one with them. "But seriously, what is that shockwave? It doesn't feel like an earthquake."

Ajava had already noticed Trigiel's flash or red headlamp, and now she also notices Jaicen's expression. She also sees TG-100 subtly checking his lightsaber.
Ajava does not like her companions' attitudes. She does not wat to have to take drastic measures to prevent the two from becoming food for whatever create is coming towards them right now. It would be a shame if she has to kill or hurt whatever create is reacting to the noise. Ajava has the feeling that this creature might even be coming towards here because of their not-so-subtle arrival a day ago.
"That's it, we are done here. Jaicen, get the shuttle here. Trigiel, get out of there in into the shuttle. Jaicen, you too.", the tone of Ajava's voice was stern and urgent, without any trace of frivolity. From Ajava's tone, it is clear that she does not consider replying with "No." an option.
She glances at the Xomlirga before readying to jump into the shuttle, standing in such a way that she can quickly grab hold of Jaicen and TG-100 if they turn out to be spectacular failures at jumping.
((OOC: Since I am not sure if the shuttle actually arrives here, I have not included a check for the jump yet.))

Recognizing the tone of Ajava, Trigiel becomes more serious again: "Roger, I am coming up". Without further hesitation, the cyborg tries to find his way back to the others.
