[ Jedi Temple ] Training with the Xomlirga, second try
-

Mercury - Storyteller
As the ship zoomed up to above the canopy, a large orange insect, about the size of cat, with six legs, two on each of its body segments and a large head with a tripple jointed jaw raced past.
Leaves and branches fell past the Jedi as the ship rammed its way into the canopy, Trigiel successfully finding his way up at the same time. But the falling branches made no sound - or at least no sound that wasn't drowned out by the ever increasing trembling.
Another dozen or so of the insect creatures ran past, probably the rest of the pack fleeing from whatever was coming.
As Jaicen, Trigiel and Ajava made their way onto the ship, the insect-like creatures soon turned out to not be the entire pack, but merely the advanced guard - by the thousands, tens of thousands, perhaps millions, a stream insects raced over the trees.
The creatures crawled over one another in a fast-paced procession, eating every leaf in its path. Some of them were carrying worms, others the corpses of other creatures, but all of them equally voracious.
"Go!" the woman told again, pushing one of the creatures off of her while kicking another away, her position about to be overran.
((OOC: No jump checks required to get onto the ship this time, though flying off will require a piloting check as the ship is partially caught in the branches - you can of course take other actions if you prefer))

Shebi Ajava - PC
Having jumped into the ship, Ajava makes sure that both Trigiel and Jaicen succesfully get on board -- paying special attention to Jaicen given his lack of mobility.
Once all Jedi are aboard, she quickly glances towards the Xomlirga to see if it is capable of getting out of this situation. If so, she rushes towards the cockpit to pilot the ship upwards, and out of reach of the swarm.
((Check: 17 = 10 Force Level + 6 Intuition + 1 Pilot -- Going up!))
((OOC: @ST: I'm not going into what Ajava would have done of the Xomlirga seems to be overrun, because I OOCly assume that the Xomlirga is perfectly capable of handling this. If not, let me know, and I'll adjust my post.))

For a moment Jaicen was distracted, wondering how a creature could have a triple jointed Jaw. But when he saw more of those creatures he understood that it was a swarm, not a giant, large creature. TG-100 jumped into the ship and took position near the entrance, making sure none of the creatures could enter their ship, while Shebi rushed towards the cockpit.
"You are free to join us if you like." Trigiel says while he jumps in the ship. As Ajava rushes towards the cockpit, Trigiel stays at the entrance, ready to help the Xomlirga.

The woman tossed some of the creatures off her, finally deciding to jump down rather than be entirely overran by them - given the determination with which she jumped, she was pretty sure she'd be fine, probably planning to land on some lower branches, or the likes.
With the woman gone, there was not much left here for the Jedi - they did find out that some of them were not entirely well suited for life in the forest, but the secrets of the Xomlirga remained, as of yet, unanswered.
((OOC: I was going to take this somewhere, but I find that I keep postponing my post which is entirely unfair to you guys and also indicates to me I should start something new and exciting instead of continuously mulling with this one.
I am closing off the mission here - once there's a story page, I'll grant
!))

After everything was calm again the first thing Jaicen did was taking a big shower.

Ajava quickly steered their vessel upwards, and headed back to Unity.
((OOC: Do we need to write a mission report? I can do it tomorrow perhaps))

Shebi Ajava - PC
((OOC: Yes, the players have to write the mission report before rewards is handed out.
If you want some examples, have a look at Training with the Xomlirga or The curious case of Fjihc'Simab. Note that the wiki source for both those mission reports already contains the reward sections, which should be omitted. The storyteller will add them once the report is approved!
Thank you for stepping up to start the report! If you drop me a PM once you've done the report, or if you encounter a problem, I'll be happy to do my part and help out where needed!
Apologies for not contacting you earlier about dividing the work. I have found myself repeatedly being the only one writing these missions reports, and am a bit fed up with feeling like the being on the receving side of the tragedy of the commons and having to do the report writing lest no-one does it and no ong getting any rewards. I realize it is unfair of me to simply think "Meh, I'm not going to write the report again so others can benefit..." when one of the players is a new player and might not actually know about the need for writing a report.))

((OOC: I fixed a brilliant typo that changed "ship" to "shit", which still made sense ^_^ I also attached the thread number so it automatically shows up as a Related Page at the top of the thread.
Looks good to me!))
