I am respecting the wish to live without technology, I am not going to force the being to live with these droids or something.. and if you think these droids are disrespectfull towards her, I have to tell you, I will only take the TG-100 towards the planet, and I can not move on the planet without the TG-100 ... "

"That's settled then, since you are only going to take TG-100 with you to the planet you can leave the rest here. No use in bringing them along to let them rust.

There's one thing I don't exactly understand yet. It is very unusual for quartermaster Nishra to hand out equipment that serves no purpose. How did you convince her to provision these droids for you?"

[Jaicen Hedoss]

"These are my other droids, and they normally are in my room. The medical droid analyses my physical condition at the end of every day and administers my medication, so I do not die. The other one I use for the maintenance on TG-100 and my hovercraft, since I cannot get out of this chair to do it myself."

"I wanted to bring them along so if an accident happened or I got a seizure or something the droid could provide me with personal, medical attention on the ship."

"I did not convince Nishra, I have never even met her."

"I see. This makes for a bit of a conundrum then."

"We know that Knight Danacia and Padawan Asillion most likely failed because their frame of mind is built around technology and technological aid. We also know, because you state it, that your medical droid must analyzes your physical condition and administer medication so you do not die."

Therefore, if you bring your droids with you this will root our mindset in the technological, and we will fail our mission. Yet if you do not bring your droids with you you can't depend on them for medication, and you will die and we will fail the mission.

It seems we are doomed to failure... Maybe we should not go?"

[Jaicen Hedoss]

"That call is up to Trigiel, He is the initiator of the mission. But I suppose if we have to make a choice I will let the droids, besides TG-100 behind, although I do not see a difference between leaving them on the ship and not bringing them. Maybe I am also a bit scared that I am without them, something I am not used to, and because of it, it might be more difficult. "

Jaicen sighs and is visually a bit upset, TG-100 continues with his metallic voice.

"If you still have an hour, I will bring my droids back and converse with this medical droid to prepare some medication and medical advice for the trip."

((OOC: To make it quicker)) And if a positive answer is given Jaicen will return to his quarters with his three droids and comes back without 2 of them in an hour.

Arriving at the place the two jedi are waiting, he seems a bit happier now and says, "Well, I have a medical list on this data crystal and some medication. The droid was really urging me to let it come along, but I shut him down after I got the list and medication from him" pointing at a small box which TG-100 puts into the bag with his other supplies. "Okay, I am set, TG-100 come, let's explore the jungle!"

Meanwhile Jaicen moves into the spacecraft.

[Shebi Ajava]

"Luckily, you will have the travelling time to think about the difference between leaving them on the ship and not bringing them at all.", Ajava replies.

"I have time. It is only an hour on a week's worth of travelling."

Ajava takes the time while Jaicen is rearranging his droids to familiarize herself with the vessel they will be traveling in. While she does not expect anything to be out of order, she also does a routine check of the emergency equipment in the vessel.

When Jaicen returns she has already put her backpack in the largest of the vessel's quarters

"I'm ready to go as well. Trigiel?"

((OOC: As said in the OOC commentary: we ought not to forget to RP getting equipment from quartermaster Nishra every once in a while. It clears up possibly faulty assumptions by new players. For example, where did Jaicen's equipment on his list come from, if not from the quartermaster? Did he buy them himself, if so with what money? etc...

Also: Ready to go! I had hoped to have some in-flight roleplay so our characters can interact a bit, but if the others want to fast-forward to Exa-12 I'm fine with that too.))

"Jaicen, I am perfectly capable of repairing TG-100 while we are on the planet, so don't worry about that."

Then Trigiel turned to Ajava: "Master, if you believe that my set-up is sufficient for the mission, then I am ready to go as well."

[Shebi Ajava]

Ajava has already decided not to correct Trigiel's use of "Master Ajava" in front of a padawan. By now, she has learned that many Jedi simply did not feel the need to properly address someone, whether through ignorance or a misplaced feeling of being above civil conventions. She'll simply ask him what his intentions were with that later on.

"You are a Jedi knight. If this is what you decided on after a week of preparation, this is what you must take.", she replies with warm voice and a smile, honestly meaning it.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"Then I am ready to go as well."

With their gear being discussed, Trigiel is ready to go and goes to the ship as well.

((OOC: Ready to go. I have nothing relevant to role play till we arrive but am not against some in-flight role play ^^))

Ajava boards the vessel again, and goes through all the pre-flight checks before requesting permission to take off.

The ship made a slight detour through the Free Confederacy, going through customs, but the Jedi Council had arranged for the proper papers and besides a scan for contraband, the border crossings were uneventful - in fact, the Remunzian patrol checking to make sure the emissions of the ship were within their strict tolerance levels was more of a hassle than the border itself!

Eventually the ship arrived at Exa-12, the planet visible in all of its green glory, only the polar icecaps suggesting anything except forest on the ocean-less world. Last time, the coordinates had been in the temperate zone which like the rest of the planet was filled up with threes, but in this case the Jedi had coordinates closer around the equator, a last minute update they received from the Remunzians. Actually it raised the question of how anyone was communicating with the Xomlirga, because the neutral force user did not seem like the type to have a hyperspace communicator. Apparently the Remunzians had some way of keeping in touch though, or they wouldn't have been able to find the coordinates.

Exa-12 was an uninhabited world - no cities, no towns, no space ports. It was one big world of woodland, designation as a natural preserve by the Remunzian government, which explained why nobody had settled it. Landing was actually going to be an issue as the indicated area was filled up with trees, trees and more trees.

((OOC: Sorry for the delay, I've been ill and putting everything off as a result. I'm much improved now, so lets get this show on the road!))

"My plan was to jump down," Trigiel said while for a last time checking his gear, "but before I go, any objections or alternatives?"

[Shebi Ajava]

((OOC: Right. Excited ST is excited to start... And ignores the in-flight RP I tried to set up. Oh well, I'll try again at the end of the mission ^_^))

"Well, besides the fact that you'll be down there executing the "Cyborg landing on branch" maneuver and we'll still be up here, I can think of some problems. For starters, if we all jump the ship will most likely crash. It not having a pilot and all. If the ship somehow magically hovers around, we'll need to get back in as well. And finally, Jaicen is in no condition to jump down."

While she was explaining this from the helm, Ajava was also looking out through the window, trying to spot a small clearing or rock outcropping where she could set the ship down. Hopefully somewhere that she would be able to land the ship without disturbing the local ecosystem.

" So, let's not be so literal. This isn't a military mission. We can afford to find a spot where we can actually land, after which we can simply walk back to the rendezvous coordinates..."

"You are really enthusiastic, Trigiel, but I do not think the Quartermaster would be happy if we did not return with a ship without a good reason. Also, TG-100 can't jump this far with me on its back, without crashing me." Jaicen was surprised at the weird plan from Trigiel, he expected some more insight from a jedi knight.

"Is it possible to let the ship hover? I do not know the capabilities of these ships, if so, we can try to rappel down and let the ship hover until we return, otherwise I am sure there is a place we can land? Could we contact the being and ask for a decent landing spot, I might be able to send a signal out?"

[Shebi Ajava]

Ajava was about to state that she can not believe what she is hearing, but she thought the better of it, and continued to look for a good landing spot.

If these two have not come to their senses before she lands the ship, she'll drastically adjust her plans.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"The ship should have a hovering stand-by mode if not, maybe one of the rivers might provide us with a suitable landing spot." The cyborg said.

"Master, might I suggest that I fly and land if we are not let the ship hover? That way you can focus on finding the best spot and we both are doing what we do best."

"Oh and Jaicen, I find it highly unlikely the Xomlirga would answer any kind of call from any kind of technological origin." Trigiel added as a response to Jaicen is final thought.

If Ajava would let Trigiel fly and land:

"I don't think the ship has enough fuel to hover around for four weeks, Trigiel.", she replies while she gets up to let Trigiel sit at the helm.

Jaicen, realizing he does not know anything about flying decides to remain silent, hoping Trigiel and Shebi would find a suitable landing place.

Ajava scanned around,trying to find a small clearing or rock outcropping but like an unwilling student with a hangover, the planet had decided to keep itself deep under the cover of its forest blanket. As such, Ajava was faced with a choice of landing between a tightly packed patch of broad-leaved trees and bamboo, a cluster of tightly packed broad-leaved trees and bamboo or a grouping of broad-leaved trees and bamboo that were tightly packed. This world had a wild variety of arboreal treasure, and none of it gave a piece of seed about Ajava's desire to land. Worse, the top of the canopy was some fifty to a hundred meters above the actual ground.

Trigiel was clearly a great pilot, but given the conditions, the best "landing" he would be able to manage for was to either fly the ship into the canopy and break through to the ground by ramming into the branches, or to try to balance it on top of the trees, which certainly would protest against being used as a landing platform.

[Shebi Ajava]

Ajava made a soft "mmmm" sound as she pondered their options.

"I suggest we circle around until we find a more acceptable landing spot. We might have to trek a few days to get back to this point, but that shouldn't prove a problem. What do you think?", she asked while she kept looking out the window.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I think that there literally is no decent landing site in all of the near surroundings. It wouldn't surprise me if the nearest possible landing place would be at the north pole. The previous team also did not land. But I will circle around trying to look for an opening."

Trigiel circles around looking for an acceptable landing spot. At the same time Trigiel checked the fuel supplies for if they needed to let the ship hover for a longer period of time. He also checked if there was some sort of auto-pilot.

"Jaicen," he said, "can you check if we have some sort of pulley or something else we can use to reach the ground if there is no place to land?" Trigiel could not imagine that the Quartermaster arranged for a ship that was not suitable for this mission. That would be the first time.

[Shebi Ajava]

"Yes, but the previous team had a pilot that simply flew the ship away. Landing is not exactly necessary if the ship can go away and land elsewhere... That give me an idea. Hovering is expensive on our fuel, but orbiting is not."

"Jaicen, your file said you are an excellent programmer. Can you make it so that the ship's autopilot can go into orbit -- and come back to hover here -- if we send a radio signal? That way we can simply rappel down, send the signal to park our ship in orbit and come back here later to go back up."

[Jaicen Hedoss]

"That should be do-able!, Very nice idea." Jaicen responded. "Indeed I am a somewhat acceptable programmer!"

"I will try to reprogram this plane to go into orbit and only replies to our encoded signals. It will fly away and when we are finished it will come back to us, temporary hovering so we can get in."

"Could I get access to the flight computer, Master Trigiel?"
Completely forgetting the question Trigiel asked earlier about checking if we have a pully.

If Trigiel allows it Jaicen starts programming the computer to respond to two specific signals. One to go into space and one to come back to a certain set of coordinates. He uses a communicator for the signal generation, ensuring that the signal reaches far enough to be picked up by the plane.

"It's not a plane...", was all Ajava replied before remaining silent to let Jaicen do his thing.
