[14 -8] Investigating the Tunuaranan moonquakes
"Then I say we contact grand Bishop Nanteek Adool of shall Chaundra to announce our arrival. If the duke already gave us permission, than bothering him won't do any good, the bishop can handle those affairs I say. Simultaneously we can contact the free people of the Mu Collective to say hello. I don't know what they can do, but it is nice to say hello at least. Finally, we ask bishop Mo'lrin for help. What do we want from him?
The possible starting leads we have are:"
And at the same time Trigiel took a datapad starting making a list.

Then I say we go to the scientists. From there we evaluate the situation. I and who else are going to investigate the temple of Si'Aalin. The other two can pursue the other leads you found."

"I agree with Fecta Trigiel. I propose that I go with him since he is my Jedi Knight teacher. There is one problem however, there was a mentioning of radiation, but I did not bring a radiation suit and although my droid does not care about that, I do. So maybe I should obtain an anti-radiation suit with the scientists. Or do we have a suit aboard the ship?"

"I'm not very keen on staying in heavily irradiated areas for to long, even in a full radiation suit. Nor do I believe that any of us should want to stay in there for a lenghty period of time, with the exception of Trigiel perhaps.
I suggest that you try to approach the temple as best you can, and see if you can determine the source of the radiation and more importantly any harmful effects first. Perhaps you do not need to go in just yet."

The Jedi are approaching the system quickly, and the navigation computer is already asking for directions for in-system impulse flight just before dropping out of hyperspace flight at the edge of the system.
Quickly flying towards the Moons, the Jedi have a clear view from the cockpit if their freighter: they can clearly see the looming green-ish gas giant and the five moons around it. The navigation computer displays a diagram showing the orbits of the five moons and their names. They pick up some radio chatter on general bands and some on Union bands, as the some Union freighters are still delivering sentientarian aid to Kons, the moons hit by the quakes.
It is up to the Jedi to determine where to go from here...

"Allright. shall I put the scientist location in the Nav Computer? We still also need to send a message to da duke, shall I do this as well"
Trigiel, starting to know his padawan had his reserves: "I think it is best if Ariana sends the message to the..." Trigiel had to look up the name again: "Bishop Nanteek Adool. Jaicen, you can put the coordinates in the computer. Darones, can you say hello to the free people of the Mu Collective?
I can contact bishop Mo'lrin and ask what we need to take care of or think about when visiting and investigating the two temples.
From the camp I propose we see if we can head out to the Temple Si'Aalin. In any case the Temple Kri'efna should be available for a visit."

"Allright Master Trigiel."
Jaicen let's his TG-100 walk to the coordinate panel and punches the coordinates into the system.

"I could," Darones responded to the question of Trigiel, "but I don't know them, so I believe it is better that Ariana does that."

((OOC: Notice: Coming Monday I will pick up the old posting schedule I announced (Mondays and Thursdays). Since it seems there is not clarity yet on who goes where -- onyl discussion, no decision -- you have yet to split into teams, and have only taken an action to navigate the ship towards the research camp on Kons.
Be aware that I hope to keep the tempo of this mission at 2 ST posts a week starting Monday. No player post will effectively mean that you stand around doing nothing.))

((OOC: Yeah I think Ariana should respond too, since she doesn't and we are waiting for it.))
((OOC: Sorry for the late response, I have not had much fwurg time and that went to the OOC discussion.
I will try to make a useful post tomorrow evening with a message to Bishop Nanteek Adool.
On a related note I won't be able to make the posting frequency since I am going to Italy soon. I will be away from 2 july to 23 july, at this time I have no idea if I can or will post on fwurg. This reminds me that I will start making my turn reports as well next weekend I guess.))

"Let us first visit the scientists on Kons and split up afterwards from there. I hope to visit either the Bishop or the captain if they are available."
Seeing that TG-100 already put the coordinates in the computer Ariana focused on contacting their contacts.
Ariana wrote two holo messages and transmitted the first to Grand Bishop Nanteek Adool and the second to captain Aleixo Kindalin of the Mu Collective.

After TG-100 is done entering the coordinates, Trigiel has an easy time pilotting the ship towards Kons and navigating through the atmosphere to set down next to the temporary camp the duke's science team has set up. The same camp where the aid goods from the Union were first brought to Kons.
As they were flying, Ariana receives replies to her messages. The first reply was quick to arrive simple text message, and comes from captain Kindalin:
The second message is a much more official message from Grand Bishop Nanteek Adool:
The landing proceeded smoothly. Soon after the Jedi entered the science camp. The small hill the camp was built on is familiar to some of the Jedi, as are the faces of several scientists here.
The leader of the scientific team heads out to greet the Jedi. "Greetings, Jedi of the Union. I have received word from the Duke that you are here to investigate the moonquakes. We are glad to have your assistance in this matter."
He guides the Jedi into the science camp.
As they walked, he quickly gives the Jedi an update. "We have set up seismometers at several cities on Kons, and a high-resolution lattice in the local area. Several of the aftershocks have given us records of several origins of the quakes. Unforutunately we have not been able to figure out what makes these places significant. We have also yet to figure out what happened to the three scientists that were brought in with extensive radiation burns, but maybe you are able to better understand what happened to them."
Once inside the "command tent" the leader of the camp walks over to a table with several notes, maps and a small holoprojector that was displaying Kons and the measurement locations they had set up.
"We just heard that bishop Loshro Dunefis is on his way to us. In the meantime, is there anything you need to set up?"
((OOC: Apologies for that lack of ST activity. I hurt my foot pretty badly last week, and that caused some attention issues. I hope to pick up the pace and stick to my self-declared posting rhytm from now on. So, my next post well be thursday evening ^_^))

"Thanks for receiving us, sir. About the subject at hand, you could help us by telling us where these places are, how many and the magnitude of the earthquakes, we would love some maps. I heard at the Jedi academy that some Jedi were busy creating a satellite for monitoring these earthquakes, did this satellite already provide any data?."
While turning to Ariana Jaicen says: "I think you are best suited to investigate the three scientists? With your newly found healing skills?"

Once back on Kons, Darones started by making a round through the camp and greeting some of the scientists before discussing further actions.
"I don't believe that that is really necessary " Darones stated in response to Jaicens proposal, " In fact we are quite certain these men died from prolonged exposure to lethal amounts of radiation. Which precisely why we didn't look into this matter further the last time we were here."
I am curious about those 'blind spots, or epicenters though..."

At camp, Trigiel makes a round through the camp, following Darones, to get acquainted with the scientists. "Greetings, I am Jedi Trigiel, its a pleasure to meet you." He says.
"We also have plans to travel to the Si'Aalin Temple and Temple Kri'efna," Trigiel says in addition to Darones, "aside from the possible radiation, is there anything else we need to know when travelling there? For the rest, we don't really have to set up anything I believe."

Darones and Trigiel quickly made their round through the camp. This was quickly done, as news of the arrival of the Jedi buzzed through the camp and had most scientists coming to the small plaza in front of the command tent. All in all, there are about twenty scientists and technicians here.
Looking at Jaicen, the leader points to the holoprojector showing a model of Kons, with measuring points noted as yellow dots, and epicenters are red concentric rings.
"There are five clear epicenters, two on the poles, and three as an equilateral triangle on the equator. We are not sure yet what the significance of this is. The only thing we know is that this one", the man points to one of the epicenters on the equator, "is near the village of Orilon, deep in the mountains. It is about three weeks ride from here."
We have received the satellite and it is currently in orbit, but we have not been able to interface with the system. Our equipment is much less advanced. We lack the proper transceiver equipment and interfacing program, so we have no measurements."
Paying attention to what Darones has to say, the man continues.
"Our healer has also concluded that the men died from radition poisoning. She also noted that the original reports by the rodian scouts was correct: their muscles showed indication that they were holding onto something. The scouts said that they found them clutching a rock outcropping, as if trying to hold on to the rock. They all faced the same way, as if really strong wind pulled them along.
We kept the paper you discovered, Jedi. Here, maybe you can make better use of the information on it than we can."
He handed Darones the piece of paper that Darones himself spotted on one of the corpses last time he was here.
"We have also stored their equipment, but the radiation exposure wiped out all storage crystals. You are welcome to examine the equipment yourself, but it is mostly a fried heap of junk."
Turning his attention to Trigiel, the leader replies to Trigiel's question.
"I am not a holy man, so I have little advice on visiting temples. If the temple of Si'Aalin you refer to is the temple near Orilon, I am not sure if there is even a temple anymore. If the words on the piece of paper are to be believed, the temple is Si'Aalin is no more. As to a temple to Kri'Efna... I think there is a small temple dedicated to the god of blacksmiths in the nearby city."
"If you want to travel to Orilon, make sure you bring plenty of food and water. The mountains are very inhospitable, and we have not heard word from the village for some time. Nobody dares go near there with the stories of the godess Ta'lichri -- may she have mercy if she does -- coming to the mountains to battle Si'Aalin.
I can ask our scouts to accompany you on your travel to the village. They can show you where they found the bodies, and tell you the way to the temple."
((OOC: I would like to reiterate my desire to split this mission into two paralel groups that investigate separate. Handling two threads with two players is much easier than handling one thread with four players. Please find a way to split into two groups.
To get the most interesting story, it would be best of Trigiel and Jaicen are not in the same group. This may sound strange, so I use my ST powers to invoke "the Force" as a reason for this request.))

Replying to the comment about the satellite, Jaicen told the leader: "Perhaps I could be of use for it, I have some experience with computers, if you will allow me? But first I would like to take a look at their data crystals, if you will allow me of course and it is respectful to examine the possessions of deceased persons, maybe I could recover something?"
"Hmm, it does not seem wise to go on a long journey while we, as Jedi, have a spacecraft, which can enter the atmosphere, and which can drop us off at any point desired without any problems."
((OOC: It sounds really stupid to go on a 3-week trip while our ship can just drop us off at basically any point. Furthermore I would like to make an excuse to split up, but we do not really have two goals at the moment, as far as I can see.))

"Yes we could," Darones replied to Jaicen's suggestion of taking the ship,
"but that means we can't take it somewhere else, besides getting an idea of the lay of the land might prove to be valuable as well. There is nothing wrong with saving several days of the trip though, so quite like the idea; that is if the scouts are willing to join us."
He then continued to discuss the course of action,
"So who wants to go where? I myself think that Orilon and the lost temple of Si'Aalin is an interesting starting point, however it might be a good idea to take a closer look at the epicenters as well."

"I would prefer the scientific approach. Which means in this case studying the epicenters. So who will join me, Trigiel or Jaicen? I do believe we will require our ship to visit and do more thorough scans of the epicenters.
I guess we could drop you off as close as possible to Orilon and pick you up after a couple of days. To be honest now I think about it I guess Trigiel is more suited for a climb trough the mountains. However Jaicen you will have to judge yourself what you believe is possible and what you want to do.
However if this is how we split up it would mean me and Jaicen could take a better look at the epicenters.
Do you guys agree?"

"Allright, as suggested, I think the best course of action is for me to go with Ariana. Thanks for your advice, Master Danacia". Afterwards Jaicen turns to the camp-leader again, waiting for his answer regarding Jaicens previous question.

The lead scientists had not answered yet as the Jedi were talking. And it seems he'd rather not interrupt them with answers.
When Jaicen turns to him again, he replies.
"Of course you can", the lead scientists shrugged his shoulders in reply to Jaicen's question; with a friendly smile to show he meant well, "but I don't think you'll be able to do any better then we did. Most of it is literally a friend heap."
Turning his attention to Darones, he elaborated on the scouts.
"And I'm sure that the scouts will have no problem flying with you, as long as they can bring their taun-taun along, that is.", he replied to Darones. "You should ask them about the current conditions in the area of Orilon, they might know more."
While the Jedi discussed the best approach to their plans, the leader arranges for Jaicen to be shown the equipment belonging to the dead after the Jedi had decided what to do next. The lead scientists also mentions to the Jedi that the bishop has sent a message that severe thunderstorms have forced him to take a detour, and that he will arrive in about an hour -- giving the Jedi some time to prepare for their travels.
((OOC: I plan on using the arrival of the bishop as the kick-off for everyone leaving (and the associated splitting of the thread). So if you want to do some quick work here in the camp, or make preparations for your teams work, do it now!))
