Tera Inogo - PC
((OOC: I thought there was going to be a personal thread so Denari could be sent in after us, so since the personal introduction didn't appear on the forums I was waiting for that to be started/finished, so there would actually be an informed Denari to be introduced... It seems I have misunderstood the plan... So here goes.))
Tera, not really clear on what it is they should be doing here other than investigating the local Slave Rebellion presence, weighs her options.
"Well, since we do not know anything about this place... Let's start with getting a drink.", she looks at Darones, "In my previous experience, the local cantina is usually the place where you find the most information in the least time."
She starts towards the banana bar, intent on going in, buying a drink and getting a feel for the atmosphere and other patrons.

Darones went with Tera silently.
The Banana bar was what you would expect of a banana bar: Some half naked Twi'lek and Tipanha were dancing and there were several banana's in bowls as a complimentary. Some might wonder what was attractive to a naked half-fish, but several patrons at the bar apparently did really like the scales.
At the bar Tera brought a drink and almost immediately got hit on by an old male Twi'lek with the best opening line in history: "Hey, cutiepie, don't I know you from somewhere?" While ignoring Darones completely and coming in a bit too close for comfort.
Besides the man there were mainly several groups of people who identified themselves as supervisors, some still had whips on their belt and some proudly presented some insignia, clearly indicating a rank of some kind.
A second before Tera could respond to the man, she and Darones noticed something slightly off in the environment: The three Tinpani currently dancing retreated silently from the stage in the middle of an energetic song, while the other dancers just danced around as normal while receiving some credits between their butt cheeks. It seems like nobody else noticed this change in behaviour.

Tera Inogo - PC
((OOC: Their racial name is still spelled "Twi'lek"...))
Taking note of the sudden departure of the three dancers, Tera turns to look the older Twi'lek in the eyes. She levels a stare on him from beneath her dark hood.
"I am not your cutiepie. Go away, before you get hurt."
She ignores him, and turns to look at the other patrons; seeing if one of them noticed the departure of the scaled ones.

((OOC: Just a quick notice: as stated elsewhere, there hasn't been any storyteller activity in this storyline for at least a month, and no OOC announcement of inactivity or anything. I'm waiting another two weeks but after that I'm out.))

Nobody else did notice that everyone was leaving. A Rebel officer did notice one dancer leaving, but didn't see that they were all leaving, it happened more often that dancers were leaving, Tera felt however that something was up.
The -get hurt- part was probably meant as in hurt by Tera. The guy didn't seem to back down however, and just as he wanted to respond, trying to get closer, Tera heard a faint sound which she recognized as weapons being drawn and shot, luckily her Jedi reflexes got her out of the initial shot just fine and the blast she easily dodged hit the poor man straight in the face. He fell flat on the ground and a splatter of blood came on Tera. She however had more important things to deal with than blood on her robes.
Looking around Tera noticed that there were around 25 Timpani with guns, shooting randomly at people in the Bar. They probably aimed at rebel alliance members, but their aim wasn't that good.

Tera, reacting quickly to the situation, grabs Darones' arm and starts running towards the exit.
She is not at all interested in getting shot in the face, and it is clear to her that these creatures have no idea what they are doing with these blasters. She herself killed her first opponent when she was thirteen. But Darones is barely 16 years old, which is a bit on the young side to be in a situation where deadly force is arbitrarily being applied—at least, that is what Tera thinks the Jedi Masters would think about the situation, and she tried to do follow their guidance as best as possible.
So, as she shot towards the door she looks back to double-check that Darones caught on to the plan of running like the wind to get out of the bar. She dodges the random blaster shots with practised ease, and makes sure to take a route that least exposes Darones to fire.
She plans to slow down once outside, and walk towards the ship at a brisk pace. There, she plans on re-evaluating the situation, and most likely having Darones stay with the ship as she completes the mission.
((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 5 Fitness + 1 Force Speed -- Running to get the hell out of there))
((OOC: Since Darones' player is Going dark for a while, I think that dropping him off at the ship is the most sensible solution. Especially since there is no point in staying around to get shot, and Jedi are not known for their desire to help mobs kill random people.))

((OOC: As stated in this topic I am withdrawing my character from this story.))

Tera Inogo - PC
((OOC: I concur. I am also withdrawing from this story. see the topic by Pixie for rationale.
Since we are the only two players, our leaving ends the story. To makes sure everything remains simple, I will proceed in the knowledge that activities so far have happened, and that Tera and Darones simply flew back after returning to their ship.
I have updated the The Long Swim to Freedom story page to reflect this.))
After arriving at their ship, Tera thinks over her options. As she sees it, there are two options...
Option the first. Find the Slave Rebellion leader and eliminate them. This ought to be simple enough with her experience, and it will elegantly achieve all stated objectives. The new leader will be very willing to talk and cooperate—they can always be eliminated consequently, if they are not. However, Tera knows that the Jedi Masters will not approve, and rejects this option.
Option the second. Retreat from this planet for now. Returning Darones to the Jedi temple and informing master Screetor of the current events might prove to be fruitful in the long run.
Tera opts to return to Unity.
