Nebesnogo flies out of the hoover can and grabs his lightsaberand he attacks the same droid as T'sal.

With a snap hiss a short blue blade appears from the hilt of his lightsaber. That he then attempts to drive trough the defences of the droid.

((OOC: Due to some confusion on how combat actually works (on my part), we started of a bit wonky. To fix this I have edited my previous post to show that we entered ROUND 0.

As you already posted a short post with the style you want to use for offence, let us disregard the other information you posted there (things like stats, Direct Combat Actions, Terrain Actions, etc.) and assume that we did it right, and you only noted down the style you would use to attack with in ROUND 1.

(You are free to heap all blame on me for asking the wrong information.)

This is the first round of actual combat. Please describe your attack with the style you selected in ROUND 0, and select a new style. You use the new style for defence in ROUND 1 and attack in ROUND 2.

I will post the droids actions after you've all posted. (Remember: Just like you, they have selected a style in ROUND 0, and they will use that style to attack you this round)

Do not forget the -2 penalty on attacks in the first round!

Trigiel jumps out of the car, using a force push to bring the droids out of balance. In his jump both arm compartments opened and two lightsabers with tonfa handles shoves automatically in his hands. Two bright white beams, an regular and a short blade, are extended in an attack at the landing.
Although the droids were tough, they couldn't defeat him, they could only trow him of balance. Still he shouldn't take any chances and focus to defend himself.

I also just discovered a downside, I have no idea how well my force push works so I do not know whether the droids get a penaulty on their attack or not and thus if my defensive style would be sufficient enough after all. Well maybe that is the risk I have to take :).))

Because Saron Itho has been hiding behind some crates, he has not noticed the combat until now. When he heard the noises of swinging lightsabers he started to sprint towards the combat.

The droids both move in in Fecta Trigiel, one to his left, and one to his right. As they rush past the padawan flying, jumping and diving out of the car, the markings on their back are visible to everyone but Fecta Trigiel. ((OOC: The droids take a terrain action to set up a flank))

As he jumps out of the car, Fecta Trigiel's force push barely impacts the droids, leaving them on their rush towards him.

T'Sal and Nebesnogo get out of the vehicle and move into flanking positions on the droid with a red 'A' as marking. The 'A' droid deftly blocks the combined attacks of both padawans with one sword. Fecta Trigiel's powerful slash is blocked by the other sword, and the droid staggers a step backwards. Unfortunately, it recovers quickly, and in one smooth motion, the droid continues his block into an attack, barely missing the cyborg.

Ariana's aerial attacks strike only air as the the droid with a blue '2' on its back weaves and dodges. The markings make it clearly that these droids weren't meant as a pair. Droid '2' twists around and slashes down on Trigiel, but misses.

Saron Itho started his sprint toward the castle, though he estimated he would arrive too late to help.


((OOC: First off, my comments on your posts (this is a training thread, after all):

@Fecta Trigiel: Don't heap all your stats in one check. Pushing and pulling is done with Force Level + Energy + Telekinesis, jumping with Force Level + Fitness + Athletics + Force Jump. I think you took a Direct Combat Action, but you didn't put the stats or request for one in your post. Next to this, DCA's require a check. You had ((Check: 8 = 4 Force Level + 3 Energy + 1 Telekinesis -- )) which is unsuccessful. However, I am giving you a +1 roleplay bonus, as your description is the most evocative.

@T'Sal: You can't both take cover AND flank as these are both Terrain Actions, and you can only take one action per round (next to your basic attack+defence move). So I took your post as wanting to take up flank.

@Saron Itho: Simple running does not require a check. Sprinting through difficult terrain though, does. Running is done on Fitness. Friendly storyteller warning: Make sure you understand what you are doing, as there are a lot of droids in the castle, some of them armed with blasters. (Though jedi usually slice through such droids like a hot knife through butter).

The combined attacks of T'Sal (4/7/5), Nebesnogo (4/6/6) and Trigiel (7/7/6) aren't enough to overcome the 'A' droid's defence (7/7/7).

Ariana's 5/6/6 can't overcome the '2' droid's 7/7/7.

---- ROUND 2 ----

Both droids are flanked now, giving +1/+1/+1 to attack for everyone (though Trigiel is the focal point for the flank, so if he moves, the flank breaks). The droids themselves flank Trigiel, giving them both a +1/+1/+1 as well.

Please post your attack/defence and any interesting moves for this round. The -2/-2/-2 penalty isn't necessary any more.

I will post the droids' moves once everyone has posted.

Helpful tips:

• If you want to claim Direct Combat Action, you must take a check. You don't get them just be describing your attack. You should also read up on them, as you should actively request them, and if it's an illogical or unfitting claim they are rejected. However, clever use of the force, tricks and giving up defence for an offensive edge can get you an advantage!
• Don't forget to keep your Direct Combat Actions consistent with the post (see this Basic Training post for an example of a successful DCA and how to note them down). So don't describe a vicious slash and claim +2 on piercing...
• You can try for roleplaying bonus by going for a more narrative style!

“Let’s get those droids of Trigiel. Nesbesnogo and Arianne is you would please take care of droid 2 then Trigiel and I will take care of A.”

T’sal moves more to the right to give Trigiel room to move out the flank of the droids so they could later together flank droid A. She makes body feint to the right and then cuts the droid A from the left.

Trigiel had a hard choice to make, if he stood his ground, the other party members had a very good chance of slicing and dicing the droids, however, he would be unable to keep his defences up. If he moved, his chances of surviving were a lot higher, but the fight would take a lot more time, and time was pressing with all the guards standing outside and probably coming in soon. However, he had an advantage the droids did most probably not have: He was a jedi, capable of adapting and trickery. His next move was a daring one, but highly rewarding if it succeeded. He counted on the high probability that the programming of the droids could not adapt quick enough to unforeseen actions.

To get out of the flanking droids, he made a feint move towards droid A, and give droid 2 the wrong idea what he was doing, then he jumped to droid 2 and uses his body as a platform to push himself back to droid A, in his flight, his left lightsaber shove out of his hand, back into his arm compartment, making his hand free to grab the head of the droid, and making the arm less an danger for the droid so the programming of the droid might get confused about to or not to dodge the move. Not only would this grab disorient the droid, it also was also meant to bring the droid out of balance and to give Trigiel a grip in mid-air so he can land in a flanking position of droid A, shoving his left lightsaber back into his hand. The emergency plan if he failed his move was simple: roll as far away as possible and then stand up again.

Now I am also a little bit confused about the combat styles: my move is clearly an ataru style, but in the previous round do I have the shii-cho style selected, so making my attack move an shii-cho style. Does this mean that I have to wait a turn with this move, and first select the ataru style, or does this mean the style is running one step behind of the combat actions?

according to the system, it should be:

"Thats seems like decent plan miss T'sal" Nebesnogo responds as he backs out of melee with the droid he was attacking hoovering some distance above the ground.

He then begins to focus on his connection to the force letting its power fill him. Before focusing on the droid that was in melee with Ariana. "Porhaps the GROUND will be better place for you." He says as he holds out the palm of one of his hands towards the droid and as his eyes flash from his connection to the force, he unleashes his powerful telekinetic shove in an attempt to shove the droid on its back.

Then from his higher position he also divebombs the droid, leading with his lightsaber, for good measure

Ariana takes a small step back to give the others enough time to throw everything they got at the droids. Directly after Trigiel and Nebesnego made their move Ariana made a very high pitched scream and rushed on the blue droid. She started with some quick strong slashes and moved in closer and closer attacking faster each time she stepped closer. Where the first slashes are aimed for the arms and the legs of the droids the following attacks are more and more aimed at his body.

Both droids start an attack pattern towards Fecta Trigiel, forcing him to start his jump rather awkwardly.

However, as T'Sal feints around the droid, landing a cutting blow to it's mid section, Trigiel flies off into the air. As he suspected, the droid could not adapt to his saber-less attack, and prioritized it's defences the wrong way. While the droid brings up it's swords to block what it thinks would surely be a brutal attack from Trigiel's right-hand saber, Trigiel sails past them without attacking -- the droid has just a moment to sound out a confused "whiiiiir?" before Trigiel's hand clamps down on its head, dragging the droid through T'Sals blade, cutting it clean in half.

Nebesnogo's force push had the unintended effect of stabilizing droid 2 while Trigiel bounces off it, making sure the cyborg has a stable platform to jump from.

Ariana's sudden onslaught caught the force pushed and jump-boarded droid 2 by surprise. Though it brought up it's sword in a blocking move just in time, the continuous battering forced it's arm down, until a final blow landed squarely through it's torso.

WIth the two droids lying on the ground in pieces, the padawans were only stopped by a large steel door. Outside they could hear the sound of a large number of droids running towards the breach in the wall.

((OOC: @Fecta Trigiel: As you selected Shii-Cho for defence in ROUND 1, you use Shii-Cho for attack in this round. I think that that action you describe fits fine in the Shii-Cho style. Though some moves are more fitting for some styles, I don't think that that should stop you from making cool moves.

@Fecta Trigiel: You can't use a Direct Combat Action as a Terrain Manoeuvre. As can be read in Jedi Combat Actions, you may take one action next to your attack/defend move. This action is either a Direct Combat Action, a Terrain Manoeuvre, or a Non-Combat Action. I've taken your actions to be a very cool terrain action. I also award you a +1 roleplay bonus on attack.

@Nebesnogo: It seems like you wanted to try for a DCA, but as you didn't request any bonusses or penalties I'm not sure what you want -- next time, divide your +2 bonus as you see fit (and not it like in this post).

@Ariana: Just describing your attack is not good enough to claim DCA. Next to this, rushing in is done on Fitness -- not Strength.

@All: It seems that both this round, and previous round, you tried to use the force to bestow penalties on the droids. (Mainly by pushing them around.) This isn't really how it works -- intead of putting penalties on them, you add bonusses to yourself (for example, succesfully pushing a droid might gain you a +2 to dodge).

T'Sal and Fecta Trigiel have a combined attack of 8/10/8 on droid 'A', overcoming all three rings of defence 7/7/7.

The droids' combined attack of 8/8/8 overcomes two rings of defence of Trigiel (who had 6/9/6). Putting him off-balance. However, the off-balance penalty applies next round.

Ariana and Nebesnogo combine focus the efforts on droid '2' and with a combined attack of 8/9/9 (all from Ariana) they bring it down as well, as the droid has 7/7/7.

Congratulations, you dispatched the training droids!))

"two way's, one forward, one back... lets go forward, maybe a few guy's should guard the entrance while I cut the steel door open."

Trigiel waited an appropriate amount of time to give the others time to stop him and come up with a better plan, when he was not stopped, he started cutting a hole in the steel door.

T'Sal's approach was without luck this time, no control pannel could be found. It seemed this blast door was well protected against people entering the castle, the controls would probably be on the other side.

There was only little to stop Trigiel now from cutting a hole in the door.

"If nobody got a better plan, I will cut the door open."

Again he waited an appropriate amount of time before he starts cutting.

[T'Sal]

"Seems like the only option.”

T'sal stands in from on the door and shouts

"WATCH OUT WE ARE GOING TO CUT OPEN THE DOOR"

so that nobody gets hurts if they were standing against the wall.

[Ariana Danacia]

"I will give you a hand to speed things up. I will start on the left. You start on the right."

Ariana waits for Trigiel to start before she pushes her light saber into the door.

"Ill help with holding the door up so it does not fall on one of us. Can someone else keep an eye out so we don't get surprised." he suggested before focussing on his connection with the force. He then used his telekinesis to hold the heavy metal door up so it will not fall on someone.

The three padawan working together quickly cut a hole through the door. As the door was lowered to the ground, they could see a control room on the other side.

In the middle of the room there are two men. The first looks heavily injured, and is held from behind. The second man is bleeding from a wound on his head, but he holds up the first guy, using the body to take cover behind, and is pointing a blaster to the first guys head.

"You won't take me in that easily", the one with the blaster shouted, "One step further and I'll kill him!"
