Ariana stayed in the driver seat and tapped her communicator.

"Should we disable the generator or directly go after the blip with the hovercar? We need to know what it is before we can act on it. Do we know what the towers do yet?"

T'Sal easily gained access to the internal electronic systems, and determined that the dish served a dual purpose: it can transmit power to the castle, and is able to piggy-back a control signal on the same connection.

Trigiel looked up in the direction indicated by Saron Itho; the only thing he could determine was that the thing was running, taking expert advantage of any cover offered by the environment. Trigiel isn't sure, but it might be an advanced combat droid. Given the current speed and distance of the thing, and taking into account the great cover, Trigiel might hit it, but he would only have a single chance.

Nebesnogo pulls in the droid, which seemed to be disabled by the the impact of Trigiel's hook shot. Upon opening, Nebesnogo immediately saw the problem: a failing coolant pump combined with an obsoleted generator model. It was a small wonder that Trigiel's hit didn't give it the final jolt to a full overload... The droid was on the verge of exploding, it would be better to get rid of the droid, or disable the generator.

Trigiel decides to take the shot.

“The towers can transfer power to the castle, so we need to stop that. We can also send a control signal towards the castle on the same connection.

I will disable this tower and then move on the next. I will wait before disabling the last so we can send a control signal to hinder the castles activities for when we are ready to assault.

How are things on the generator and guard droid by the way? The car at least seems to work perfectly.”

T’sal disables the power transfer to the castle, she makes sure it is physically disabled but digitally is still “working”. She then closes the panel to the internal electronics.

T’sal carefully takes a look around to see where the guard droids are patrolling. She plans her route towards the next tower in the hole left by the abducted droid.

Trigiel
The cyborg padawan takes the shot, and barely hits. He still wasn't sure what it was he shot at, but the thing changed course immediately upon being hit, and continued moving toward the castle at an even faster pace. Given the accuracy of his current weapon, he would not be able to hit the moving target again from this distance.


T'Sal
After seeing that the system isn't all that advanced, T'Sal quickly cuts through the power cable with her light saber, disabling this dish's power transfer capabilities.

When she looks over to see the patrolling droids, they haven't started patrolling yet. Instead, they are still observing the area around their respective towers. Once they start patrolling again, it might be possible to stay in the 'hole' created by the abduction of the droid.

Ariana moves the hovercar away from the remaining towers. Far enough to be out of range from the patrolling droids.
"Disable the other towers and meet me in the hovercar for a ride to the castle."

[Nebesnogo Sveta]

Nebesnogo turns the generator off not wanting it to explode when stuff gets hairy. ((OOC: Force Level 4 + Reason 5 + mechanical engineering 3))

"Ehh Trigiel we were really lucky with that sot in the head if you had hit the generator it might have exploded. This cooling pump is on its last legs." He says over the riding wind from the hoovercar.

"I am happy with my sigh" was the simple answer to Nebesnogo Sveta.

"I spotted a anomaly going towards the castle, I did not did get a good look, but did manage to shot it once, before it was to far away to the castle. My guess is it is some kind of advanced battle droid.

Because Trigiel did had at this moment not directly something to do, he just took a look around. Spotting for important things he didn't saw before.

Nebesnogo quickly disables the reactor, effectively shutting down the droid.

Trigiel has a good view of the surroundings from his higher vantage point, but he did not spot anything he didn't see already.

Ariana hops out of the hover car and flies towards the blind spot that was created by taking out the first droid.
"I will disable the second tower myself. Be right back."

She flies towards the tower and quickly disables the power transfer.((OOC: Force level 4 + Reason 5 + Mechanical Engineer 2))

After disabling the electronics she quickly flies back to the hover car. ((OOC: Force Speed 1))

[Fecta Trigiel]

As Ariana flies away, Trigiel takes the wheel of the car and drives in a safe route towards Saron Itho to pick him up, carefully avoiding the sensors. Under way an idea pops into his mind: "Nebesnogo Sveta, do not trow away the droid yet, we might be able to blow a hole in the fortress with it. Also, can you tell what is does? Shooting, detecting, exploding or none of the above? "

At the same time, he made a small update analysis of the situation:
1 spherical droid down, enough to make a path towards the towers before the droids adjust.
1 tower down, 1 tower nearly down
1 tower was needed to transmit a disruptive signal towards the castle.

1 mysterious being spotted, running towards the castle, more are unlikely.

T'sal sees Arianna flying towards the tower.

"Arianna the guards droids are still near the towers, so watch out.

I was waiting for them to move to avoid them. "

T'sal jumps down the tower and moves towards the others.

Ariana flies over to the second tower and, upon discovering the same things as T'Sal, makes short work of the power transfer capabilities of this tower with her lightsaber. As she flies away, the sentinel droid that was looking outward some meters away from the tower sweeps around to locate the source of the sounds it just heard.

Fortunately, Ariana moves to fast for the droid to see her, allowing her to return to the hovercar while the droid moves to the tower to investigate further.

Meanwhile, T'Sal arrives near Saron Itho. With the hovercar inbound in a few seconds, the team is assembled!

"Time to send a control signal from the last tower to open all doors and disable all defences. After doing this we can can cut the power on this tower as well and move towards the castle with the hover car. Shall I do this?"

[Fecta Trigiel]

Situation when it goes right: Drive in, search, find and extract the package.
Situation when it goes wrong: Droids pretend to do nothing, drive in, right into a trap, get overwhelmed by melee droids while sniper droids take us out one by one.
Alternatives: ride towards the castle, get detected, must blow a hole in the door.

Logical answer: “Yes. But wait till we are in position with the car.” And Trigiel drives with all the party members on board closer towards the castle. At a safe distance he stops and of course he does the best he can to avoid the sensors and droids.

[T'Sal]

“For an attack we need a plan.

The castle has a moat and we need to get over the wall to get in, lower the bridge and open the gate if we want to get the car in. Furthermore we need to locate the two wounded subjects.

We need one person to drive the car and one to protect him/her and the car by being shot down by the droids. Our flyers and one more have get over the wall and assault the castle, get the bridge down and open the gate. When they are ready, they can look for the subjects while the car drives into the castle. The courtyard needs to be secured so the car can drive out quickly when the subjects are found and moved.

I do not mind being in the assault team or the car team, what do you want?”

T’sal looks to Fecta Trigiel and Saron Itho and waits for response.

“Be aware that those droids in the castle are alarmed, multifunctional and not stupid.”

[Saron Itho]

Saron Itho responds: "Maybe I can find a clever way to lower the bridge and stay out of the way?" Then he accesses his slicing point again and tries to find a way to lower the bridge for his teammates.

[Ariana Danacia]

Ariana moves towards the third tower and waits at a short distance for the team to prepare. ((OOC: Force level 4 + Fitness 3 + stealth 1))

When the group is ready Ariana will fly onto the third tower and try to open up all the doors in the castle and disable all traps using the command signal. ((OOC: Force level 4 + Reason 5 + Slicing 1))

After sending the command signal Ariana will cut the power with her light saber and return to the party at high speed.((OOC: Force Speed 1))

While Trigiel manoeuvres the hovercar onto a path that leads directly towards the drawbridge, Ariana and Saron Itho slice into the systems of the tower again. With good teamwork, the pair finds a single protocol that might offer them some help:

In case of toxic spill or radiation leak:

=> Open evacuation pathways from personnel-dense areas to courtyard.
=> Unlock drawbridge and prepare for emergency lowering.

After triggering the protocol, Saron Itho cleverly hides between some crates, the only hint he is there a black cable connecting his interface to the system.

After cutting through the power cable, disabling any power transfer form this tower, Ariana sped towards the hovercar. Just before she arrived, a shrill whistle could be heard from the castle. The group could hear a woman's voice crackling through aging speakers, but couldn't make out the text. A moment later a jet of black smoke appeared from one of the towers near the drawbridge and the clamps holding the drawbridge released one after the other, finally dropping the bridge.

The group could easily see that the droids on the castle walls and tower reacted to the alarm.

"The bridge is down, but the droids are warned. Shall I drive in and let Saron Itho monitor the situation? It will be a rough ride. Nebesnogo Sveta, can you hold the damaged droid and use the explosive as a distraction at an appropriate moment?"

[T'Sal]

"Nicely done Saron Itho. Those modern castle are easier to enter than the old ones." says T'sal while looking disappointed.

T’sal takes her light saber and the blaster and gets ready to fight.

“I could use my telekinesis to help launch that droid between the others and then you shoot is so it explodes.”

[Ariana Danacia]

Ariana lands on the hovercar and draws her lightsabers.
"I am ready to go. Lets head in through the front door? "

Trigiel takes his chances and drives into the castle. Evading any incoming fire if the droids start shooting. In the castle does he look for a path and a place where the subjects might be. He hopes the force will guide him into the right direction.

Nebesnogo takes a good look at the droid and sets the power generator to overload. ((Check: 12 = 4 Force Level + 5 Reason + 3 Mechanical Engineer -- ))
"Be careful I have set the droids power generator to overload. It can explode at any time."

When the time was right he telekineticly hurled the droid towards a sensitive spot in the building. ((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 4 Energy + 2 Telekinesis -- to throw))((Check: 9 = 4 Force Level + 3 Intuition + 2 Explosives -- to place))

Trigiel floors the accelerator, making the car lurch forward in a very rough manner. However, even with the old car's engine being less than ideal for fast manoeuvring, he manages to get the car on track. While zipping towards the castle, Nebesnogo Sveta re-engages the broken droid's generator, and hurls it towards the castle wall, aided by T'Sal.

With their combined telekinesis influence the two padawans guided the makeshift bomb onto the wall. Their bomb exploded in a most spectacular manner, blowing multiple droids off the wall. Trigiel narrowly avoided two of the droid bodies by swerving out of the way just in time. The explosion served to create a large amount of chaos; the team could see two droids on fire, trying to extinguish each other by flapping their arms towards each other.

The car swooshed into the courtyard with blaster fire coming down from above. Unfortunately, the jury-rigged car failed them, and came crashing down in the courtyard. After a slide of roughly seven meters it came to a complete stop with the nose of the car embedded in the main building's door, creating an opening to enter the building itself.

Inside the building, they could see two droids guarding a large steel door. Both droids look humanoid, wield energy double blades, and charge Trigiel, as he is the driver of the offending vehicle.

You are under attack! We are going into combat.

For simplicity, I will state the exact actions taken by the robots in OOC markers - please do the same as we all learn the system.

Before the actual combat starts, you must choose you opening style (it will be used for the attack in round 1) The two robots use the 'training droid style', which is equal in defence and attack. Please declare your starting combat style and opening attack, note that everyone has a -2 penalty on all attacks in the first round.

The robots undertake no Direct Combat actions but instead makes a blunt attack. Normally, the robot would have an attack of 8/8/8 (Slashing / Cutting / Piercing), but since this is the first round of combat, it suffers a -2 penalty, so its attack is 6/6/6. Trigiel should be easily able to defend against that (which will be done in ROUND 2).

Note to future readers: The combat started of a bit wonky, with unclearness about the actual way combat was run. Please bear with us.
