[ Sector 14 -11 ] Bring a Twi'lek ex-slave home

Shebi Ajava - PC
Shebi Ajava did not have anything else to say to the commodore. So she waited, and kept an eye out for any trouble.
Once the soldiers where done unloading half of the supplies, she re-entered the ship.
Once the soldiers where done unloading half of the supplies, she re-entered the ship.
Trigiel stood by as the soldiers were doing their thing, paying close attention at what they were doing to make sure nothing shady was happening, which was very difficult as he stood outside their ship, and the soldier were inside. Once the soldier were finished, he also re-entered the ship.
If the soldiers let the two padawan and the twi'lek back on board without troubles, the cyborg did a full system check again before taking of. He also checked if the inside of their ship wasn't changed. Trackers, damage, disappeared or appeared goods etc.((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 4 Reason + 2 Mechanical Engineer -- I claim a bonus for having the ship already practically having disassembled and re-assembled in the jedi hangar.))

Trigiel carefully inspected the ship. With him knowing all the ins and outs after taking it apart, he immediately noticed that the ships fuel supply had been drained by half. Closer inspection also revealed several valuable high-tech hyperdrive components had been 'requisitioned' by the men. This wouldn't stop the ship from operating normally, but it did take away the speed upgrade that Quartermaster Nishra had put in - the ship was now reduced to the normal operating speed of a ship its size.
They had drawn a copy of the data in the ships computers - fortunately that wouldn't do much as other than basic navigation data it didn't contain anything of value.
Worst of all though, the soldiers had helped themselves to the ships food supply, notably leaving the emergency rations and vegetables but taking all the snacks and liquor.
((OOC: If you want to respond, feel free, otherwise I'm moving everyone ahead))

"That greedy stupid brat," Trigiel reacted when he noticed the missing hyperdrive components, "Shebi Ajava, the 'soldiers' have taken our hyperdrive upgrade, and our 30 year old Skuldarian whiskey Quartermaster Nishra had given us as a gift for . Arnia'Evixel her parents. Together with our main food supply and half our fuel. Also they copied our data, but that was to be expected.
We can manage to bring Arnia'Evixel to her parents, and have just enough left to reach Union. But I am more in favour of personally telling the commodore that we want our hyperdrive back in its old state, and that he is a terrible commodore who is really, really stupid, ignorant and arrogant."
((OOC: I assume giving one bottle of the booze a name and destination won't hurt, especially as jedi generally don't drink.))

Shebi Ajava - PC
"While I agree that this does indeed indicate that the commodore does not have a hold of his soldiers, I do not think that such trivial things as snacks and liquor are a problem. The fuel and the food could be interpreted as 'half our supplies'. Our hyperdrive components on the other hand, can not."
Shebi Ajava sighed.
"But I do not think we gain anything by making a fuss over it. We shall report this incident to the Jedi council once we are back. I don't think it's going to be a problem. If there are problems because of the expensiveness of the equipment, my family shall reimburse the Jedi order for their losses. Besides, if we have nothing on the way back, we don't get a repeat of this.
But next time, we put trackers on such expensive gear. I would've liked to know they were taking such things while standing in front of the commodore.
Let us leave this vessel of untrustworthy pirates before I change my mind."
Shebi went to the cockpit, to send a last communication to the cruiser before jumping to hyperspace:
((OOC: Ready to move on!
Also: why the hell is there liquor in the food supply? O_o))

((OOC: You can name as many bottles of booze as you want ^_^ As for why there was alcohol: Quartermaster Nishra is a Theelin, so who knows how her brain works.))
The Jedi vessel soon made its way onwards, making their way into Sector 14 -11 without further interruptions.
Soon the ship found itself over their destination planet, a small planet in goldilocks orbit around a red giant star.
In the Union, worlds like this had a ground control that could be contacted to direct them to the correct space port. This planet unfortunately wasn't as orderly as that - instead, it had three different stations each identifying themselves as the one true ground control and ensuring Shebi and Trigiel that the other two stations were imposters.
Before they even got a chance to try and figure out which one was the real ground control, the communication channel had turned into a shouting fest, as the three ground control station operators turned on one another like wild beasts, with language that could make a sailor blush.
Rather than wade through the chaotic shouting, the two Jedi set the ship down in the closest space port - they could always move to another one, and none of the ground control stations seemed to value helping them over yelling at the other two.
As the ship set down on the surface, they could feel a shift in gravity as the ships artificial gravity was disabled and the planets power took over, which was less than usual. At 80% standard gravity, walking here was a breeze.
Though it mercifully came without the heat, the planet was a dusty desert and that dust was everywhere in the spaceport as well, spread over the ground, getting into machinery and generally being a nuisance. Trigiel might need to keep an eye on his mechanical components if he had anything exposed.
The spaceport was old and badly kept, but functional, and the walls in the main hangar area where the Jedi had landed were plastered with graffiti and posters:
Get the cheapest fuel at Dr. San, guaranteed to not be watered down much!
__________Follow the white rabbit!__________PRAY!
What is this Freedom thing anyway? Find out!
__________Death to the Hutt!
Protect your family! Krons Knives!__________ Do not waste water! Recycle!
From here, they could go basically anywhere.

Being a jedi cyborg, Trigiels body was build to endure multiple environments, though it was still impossible to cover for all the nuances of every single planet. At least his life support system was build in a double protected durasteel case, so the chances of dying of a dusty nutrient pump was really small.
"Well Arnia'Evixel, I suppose you don't exactly know where to go?" As the Twi'lek apparently also didn't know which port was the closest one to her parents. Then, when looking around, one of the gravities caught his attention: "Shebi Ajava, the white rabbit, in the news was something about them intruding the senate, I am sure you have red it. It looks like they are here too, or from."

Shebi Ajava - PC
"I spotted it as well, Trigiel.", Shebi Ajava said while walking towards the wall to get a better look. "Do you have any idea what that 'white rabbit' means, Arnia'evixel?"
Walking back to the twi'lek girl, she said: "Either way, I suggest we find out where your family lives now, so we can go there. Do you have any idea?"

"The white rabbit?" She looked at Shebi Ajava, confused she would ask about something so obvious, then looking more understanding, realising Trigiel and Ajava were probably unfamiliar with the concept. "That's just a rallying call, you can ignore it. It's not really relevant here."
"We should try to find someone from my clan. Probably visit the local noble. He'll know where to go." she nodded. "Someone owns this space port - they're probably noble. Maybe we should start there. Also, be careful - you two stand out like a lighthouse here."
It was true. This planet featured very few droids or cyborgs and even fewer Veolians.

"Good, then we are recognisable nice and helpful people. And if people wanna mess with us, they find out soon enough it is useless.
About the rabbit: A rallying call? The news said that there was some graffiti in the senate saying 'follow the white rabbit,' that resulted that the senate asked the jedi to help with the security, which is right now in discussion I believe.
By the way, how well do they know jedi here? If they see a lightsaber, are they aware what that stands for?"

"Trigiel, I think it might be a good idea to don our robes. We are not looking for trouble, and we are certainly not going to get into a fight just by being here. Besides, the reputation of my species might not be the most beneficial I'm afraid."
With that, Shebi went to grab two of the iconic generic brown jedi robes from the ship, and donned hers already.
While Trigiel was troubling himself with the robes, Ajava asked as question of the twi'lek girl: "For you, it might not be important, but for us this 'White Rabbit' is a new and relevant thing. What does it rally for exactly?"

"They'll probably recognise it is a Union weapon. Or at the very least expensive enough that you are dangerous. I think only members of the religious caste will know much about the Jedi though."
The twi'lek explained as her lekku hung down silently
"The white rabbit is a rallying call for slaves to rise up and rebel against their oppressors. Scares the living daylight out of the Hutt - it is a topic that is forbidden to talk about on pain of death."
With the generic brown robes, the Jedi blended right in with the rest of the crowd. From here they could make their way to several places: the local cantina was always a good source of news, while the space port office might give them a chance to either negotiate a discount for their stay or otherwise talk to the space port manager. Of course there was always the marketplace to barter for supplies, or they could head into the city to meet the locals. Finally they could move away from the city and into the countryside to see local wildlife, agriculture and industry.

"Let's go have a talk with the space port operator. We need to get our bearings."
-

Trigiel (mask of Fecta Trigiel) - PC
"Okay, one sec please."
Trigiel made a final check on the fuel. He didn't really wanted to buy fuel here, but he had to made sure that they didn't strand somewhere in space. After he checked the fuel level, he locked the ship and went with the veolian and the twi-lek to the space port operator.

The group soon arrived at the space port operations headquarters - at the end of a stairway leading up was a door through which they arrived in a small hall, a well busted Twi'lek woman standing behind a counter awaiting them.
"Good day to you, how may I be of service?" she stated, her lekku hanging silently behind her head.
From her clothing, which seemed to be on the small side for her, and the way she carried herself, it seemed this girl was not a ranking operations official, but was probably just someone put here with a pretty face to filter through the rifraf who wanted basic things the officials didn't want to be bothered for.
((OOC: The cloak is awesome ^_^))

"Hello. I am padawan Shebi Ajava of Union, and I would like to talk with the local noble.
I am helping Arnia'Evixel find her family, after rescueing her from Hutt territory. I had hoped that the local lord or lady might be inclined to help us out."

"Ooh, foreigners. How exciting." The woman sounded excited, in the way that a wonderbra made breasts look big. It seemed attractive but upon closer examination it was fake in an uncomfortable way. "Please follow me."
Leading the way into the back office to a large male Twi'lek who was 'well set' in his body fat. With some Lekku movement that was impossible to translate, the woman introduced the group "These are foreigners from the Union. I think they want a refund or something." the woman explained.
The man raised an eyebrow and looked at the two Jedi to explain themselves.

"I'm afraid I did not make myself clear enough to the young lady."
Shebi Ajava pulled back the hood of her cloak, so the man could easily identify her species.
"I am padawan Shebi Ajava of Union. I am helping Arnia'Evixel", Ajava indicated the twi'lek girl, "find her family, after rescuing her from Hutt territory. I had hoped that the local lord or lady might be inclined to help us out. I did not ask for a refund, I asked for information."

Trigiel pulled back the hood of his cloak ass well, and took a passive stance with his hands in his sleeve. He saw no reason yet to meddle in the conversation.

"'Evixel?" the large male Twi'lek stated "Yes, I know that clan."
"But tell me, why should I believe you? You are of a slaver race, how do I know you aren't here to take more slaves?"
Arnia'Evixel interjected, her lekku shifting around slowly "Actually, the foreigner has been very helpful freeing me and she cooperated with an Ultramarine operation."
"An ultramarine operation?" the large male had not expected that "I see..."
He looked Ajavan and Trigiel over once more, switching to Ryl.
"Nupee dobra nupee 'Evixel um do baw... Wah du yama poolyee - yaba ma massa dooki." he explained, no longer speaking to either of the padawans but to Arinia'Evixel directly, in the Twi'lek tongue.
"He has agreed to set up a meeting." The former slave girl explained "But we may have to go over some things... if you're willing to meet my clan, that is."

Shebi Ajava - PC
Ajava did her best to understand the sentences spoken in Ryl, but since she only just started learning the language she couldn't make anything of it.
"Such as?", Ajava asked the girl.
"Such as?", Ajava asked the girl.
Trigiel suddenly had some dirty thoughts when Arinia'Evixel was talking about 'getting over things'. It was good that he was a cyborg, so the others couldn't see his grin, but he couldn't prevent his headlight from slightly turning green and some of his head flaps did extend a little bit. For the rest he was keeping his passive stance, as it seems it was going fine and he had no desire of making the situation more complex by letting a cyborg joining the talk, the people here seems to be a little under developed to have experiences with cyborgs.

"Well, apparently there is a bit of a political situation going on between the clans... So his Lordship cannot just go to my clan and say 'I found one of yours'. It could be interpreted incorrectly." she clarified
"So we'll have to go the official route, which means giving an appropriate gift, properly receiving a counter-gift and generally behaving properly so as not to insult anyone..." she seemed to feel a bit awkward over this, her lekku curling together loosely. "I am sorry to put you through the trouble..." in this, it was unclear if she was apologizing to the Jedi or the male Twi'lek.
The large male Twi'lek interjected regardless: "See it as an opportunity for you foreigners to have a taste of Twi'lek culture." he stated with a smile, his lekku swaying from side to side slightly.

"It is unfortunate that the Slave Rebellion cruiser appropriated almost all our supplies, as we intended them as a gift to your family. I'm afraid war targets everyone, regardless of intentions..."
Shebi Ajava looked the man over once more before continuing: "I am not sure I like the sound of a political situation, however, it is not my place to pry... I hope no one will get the idea that shooting us might resolve these issues."
Turning to Arnia'Evixel, Ajava asked: "I promised to bring you home safely, and it sounds interesting to experience this first-hand. What would be our next steps?"
