[Nalan Passik]

Nalan enters the main hall after some pondering and sees Jedi master Screetor, Fecta Trigiel and Arianna standing there , dicussing various things. Nalan could not help and overhear Arianna's reasoning about more rounds. Though it had a point. It could not stop just yet.

"Fighting one another is not really about beating one another or winning. Its about harnassing your skills, training yourself in reacting to a situation. utilizing your surroundings as best as you can. There are enough things we could do in the different worlds to help that is certainly true. But of course we never know what awaits us. Or who awaits us. see this as another training to respond to strong enemy's we might yet encounter."

Nalan added a smile and inspected the two padawans.

[Shebi Ajava]

Shebi Ajava went to the person in charge of handing out the training lightsabers for the championship. Based on her experience in the first round, she has determined that it might be beneficial to dualwield a regular blade with a dagger blade, allowing her to better parry the attacks of her opponent, while keeping the benefit of range.

Soon the time began to start the next round of Lightsaber Combat.

The arena this time was different - it was smaller so there was less room to manoeuvre. A central open area served as the main battleground, but surrounding it was an area with stone pillars, each about thirty by thirty centimetres - enough to slice through with a saber, though it'd slow the attack down a lot, so they still formed effective cover. On top of the pillars were support beams holding up parts of the ceiling which looked like they might collapse if too many beams were disrupted. The pillars came four rows deep, with about a meter in between and solid walls around that.



The match up schedule was announced by Jedi Master Screetor:

• Nathan vs Ariana
• Nebesnogo vs Trigiel
• Nalan vs T'sal
• Ajava vs Shaedys

"If any of you wish to bow out, now is the time as we can still rearrange the matches then."

• Saber switching is a style change and can be done during a style change.
• You can have at most 2 blades with you
• You may use Telekinesis, Force Push, etc. as a Direct Combat Action. You use Force Level + Energy + Relevant Force Power Level as your check.
• Telekinesis 2 can allow non-weapon objects (stones, etc) to be used as an attack. It is an attack on three rings, but does not gain a bonusses from lightsabers.
• DCA's now give a +2 on one ring. You cannot split the bonus.
• Terrain actions are now Advantage Actions. They always give a +1 bonus, never +2.
• You can have at most three advantages in this way. Please list your advantages each round.
• You can remove an opponents advantage through an advantage action.
• If you post an offensive DCA, you need to either post first or be reasonably on time. For our purposes that means it must be in by Wednesday.

• Please don't just add a check but explain in OOC what the check is for.

[Shebi Ajava]

Shebi Ajava stepped into the arena. In her hand, she held a regular hilt, and another hilt could be seen hanging from her belt.

"Good luck, padawan Shaedys.", she said after the traditional bow.

The veolian padawan loosely held her saber in one hand, in a relaxed pose. Just before the match started, her saber made the now familiar zoom-sound, and grew to a rather unimpressive dagger-sized blade.

Ariana entered the arena. In her claws she has two light sabers with short hilts. Both sabers were not activated yet. She bows towards Nathan and takes a small step back.

Nebesnogo flew to the new arena and landed in his designated spot.

"Lets have a good match Trigiel and find out who is the better one today." he said before giving the taller jedi a short bow.

Then his lightsaber jumped to his hand aided by a little bit of telekinesis. And he slid in a openings stance in the way of the hawkbat and activated his lightsaber.

Shaedys enters the arena opposite Shebi. He held a regular blade in his right hand and a dagger in his left hand, using short handles on both. He hoped careful picking would increase his chances, but from what had happened last time Shebi fought he was not overly optimistic.

"Good luck to you as well.", Shaedys exclaimed before he slid in to an offensive pose, ready to test his strength against that of Shebi Ajava's, activating both of his lightsabers.

'hmm, interesting new area.' He though upon entering the arena.

"May the most skilled person win." Replied Trigiel, and he made a formal bow as well.

"You know, lucky for you there is no sand... yet."

Then his two lightsabers shove out of his arm pockets after which Trigiel activated them, They were two tonfa handles, the left one with a short yellow blade, the right one with a regular purple blade.

If Nebesnogo had paid attention to Trigiel his fight with Nathan, he would recognize the opening stance of Trigiel.

Nalan enters the area and has a good look around. Hopefully this time she could do a bit more.

She takes a deep breath.

[T'Sal]

T’sal gets a new short blade ligthsaber as miss Shebi had disable the other. She walks to the area and takes a good look around. This is really a different field. She takes a look at her opponent. T’sal has seen Nalan in the corridors but they had been introduced. T’sal walks forward and makes a bow.

“I am T’sal, nice to meet you and may the force be with you.”

Now T’sal takes her starting position, putting her weight on her forefeet.

Nathan lunged at his Preatorian opponent. Making his way around her in the process.

Once on her other side, he quickly retreated between the pillars. There he waited. His back covered by the wall, his front by the pillars.

His cybernetic eyes trained on Ariana.

"Come and get me."

[Nebesnogo Sveta]

Nebesnogo did not like this arena he could not make some hight and use that to dive bomb Trigiel. Before such thoughts could distract him he launched from his starting position towards Trigiel.

When the little mudry took of he noticed he was making quite some dust with his take of and got an idea. He made his run not straight at Trigiel but rather he made a circling motion to come in from the side.

While he was doing all of that he was focusing his telekinetic energies on the floor and using it to make his dust wake even bigger. ((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 4 Energy + 2 Telekinesis -- ))

After a brief crash of there lightsabers Nebesnogo finished his circling motion and left the cyborg jedi standing in a cloud of dust.

Using the dust cloud he could now more easily hide what he was doing with him not being limited by needing to stand on the ground like his opponent he could much easier hide his next offensive.

[Shebi Ajava]

Ajava did not get to see much of Shaedys' style as he won his first bout in record time. She does, however, remember that he slighty favours the larger sweeps and slashes. She knows little else about the human padawan, but she knows that humans are well-known for two things: sensitivity to the force, and the other thing.

Ajava decides to kill two birds with one stone. She will get as close to Shaedys as possible, so that she is inside his comfort zone, and his large sweeps are useless. She hopes that such close proximity might distract him, but she doesn't count on it, as she expects his flight-or-fight reflex to kick in when she rushes him, drowning out any other ideas he might get.

With a predatory smile, Ajava bursts into action. She lowers her stance, and rushes the human padawan while deflecting his attacks with her dagger. At the last moment, well inside the radius of his sweeps, she shifts her stance to be upright again. Unfortunately for the human padawan, Ajava's dagger does not require much movement to be dangerous, and the veolian padawan starts matching the movements of the human, almost pushing herself against him.

((OOC: I was under the impression the floor is not dusty, so I believed it would not possible to create a dust cloud, however for this post I assume it is possible to prevent conflicting posts.))

"Little mudry, you forgot your glasses." Said Trigiel with some pity in his voice. By making a lot of dust, Nebesnogo did exactly what Trigiel was planning right from the beginning: making a lot of dust. Probably to Nebesnogo Sveta his surprise Trigiel helped him with making a lot of dust by opening with a large force push over the ground. However Trigiel had two advantages over his opponent: First he was a cyborg, he did not had to physically breath in the dust, as long as he cleaned his filters after the fight. Second he had sensitive optics, so while the dust would blind the mudry, Trigiel had three other options left for vision.

He blocked the initial attack of his opponent, however the attack was surprisingly strong. Trigiel had to switch to a more defensive position a lot quicker then he anticipated. Although he couldn't suppress a feeling that he already had lost, he knew that the fight was just started.

[Ariana Danacia]

Ariana blocked Nathans attacks with both her lightsabers. After the direct clash she spreads her wings and jumped up to the ceiling. She quickly deactivated her dagger blade and put it back on her belt. After bouncing of the ceiling she hopped from side to side, staying as close to the ceiling as possible, waiting for Nathan to come out of his hiding spot.

Shaedys was slightly nervous about the whole situation, but he reassured himself that he didn't know enough about Ajava to conclude anything yet. He might find a weakness to exploit, so he slid into a more defensive stance and lowering himself. Taking a look around to take in any nearby obstacles on the ground he might be able to use later.

He would wait for Ajava to come close, using his now shorter handles. But not before trying to land a big sweep with his regular blade as she would come closer, trying to sweep down and make contact the moment she came into range. He would keep the dagger close to his body to reserve for defence against Ajava's attack with any secondary lightsabers.

After the first clash of blades would happen he expected to still be standing, getting a better measure for Ajava's strength. Shaedys would now be quite close to Ajava though, and he preferred more distance to better be able to counter attacks, so he would try to move backwards faster than Ajava. Trying to move the fight to the room with the pillars which he could use to suddenly change direction and get some small amount of space between them. Assuming Ajava would keep following him as he retreated.

After her first lost against miss Shebi T’sal is now going to take it slow. Where miss Shebi was an expert on fighting and T’sal had tried a different tactic to maybe not lose, Nalan is a more equal opponent and T’sal will go back to her usual fighting style. Nalan had also lost, but T’sal has no information on the Twilek so she has to find it out while fighting.

T’sal takes it slow and moves on a distance around Nalan. T’sal walks between the pillar and measures exactly how much space is between them and how they are positioned. She waits for her opponent to come and attack her. T’sal sides steps and counters with various cuts.

((OOC: I am really sorry for the late post. but my weekend has been busy non stop for me :(. hope this can still count in for this round))

As Nalan saw T'sal maving around the pillars she decided it would be best to stay on the defensive side for now because her direct actions in her last match did not work to her liking. While staying opposite from T'sal she also moved around in the pillars and starts to think of a little plan to maybe give her an edge. While keeping a close eye on T'sal , Nalan started making cuts in the pillars she passed. nothing with much force but enough to leave noticeable cuts in them. to get them to come down in a moments notice later on. Nalan would make a small easy controlled slash towards T'sal if she the two came closer together.

Nathan appeared to have the advantage with the long slashes, while Ariana held the advantage in the short ranged jabs, but neither could use that to gain advantage. Ariana would need to be careful though, as aerial manouvres beyond what she was doing would be tricky in the enclosed space, especially with Nathan keeping to the pillared area.

Nebesnogo and Trigiel
((OOC: Nebesnogo: The floor is not dusty, so I am afraid no amount of telekinesis will create a dustcloud. I considdered approving the action because of the flanking, but really from the post you are not making a flanking manouvre but a dustcloud to hide in. This unfortunately means the action is DENIED

Neither of the Jedi managed to take advantage as the little dust on the floor barely justified putting a Roomba down. The battle was still very much getting started. Despite their agression, the two Jedi would both have to watch their defences to be able to win.

Ajava and Shaedys

Shaedys: Ajava is trying to stay close, you counter by moving away to the pillar area. Trying to stay away is easier than trying to get into a saber range and a 12 check is more than enough to justify this. Defensive Advantage Action is APPROVED))

With Ajava trying for an intimidate dance and Shaedys trying desperately to avoid the promiscuous woman. Hiding behind stone pillars rather than any other type, he carefully avoided this becoming a close encounter of the third kind. Neither side gained or held an advantage, but as the two grew more confident, Shaedys would likely have to stay on the defensive path he was now on.

T'sal and Nalan

Both taking a very defensive approach made the fight between T'sal and Nalan seem very much like two wolves fighting for dominance, circling one another and only very carefully taking bites at the other, always making sure not to risk a counter attack. Now positioned within the pillared area, each would have to take these into account in their manoeuvres.

Although she wasn't able to continuously keep an intimate range to Shaedys, she was at least able to flit in and out of such an embrace. Seeing her adversary recoil from her projected intimacy, Ajava decides to keep up her strategy of closeness.

Determined to end up on top, Ajava uses the pillars to mask her approach, as she speeds toward the human padawan once more. Dancing between the pillars, Ajava's attacks become a flurry of slashes, cuts and stabs from different directions. To enhance the effect of her strategy, she tries to play up the intimacy and land a few harmless caresses as well, though she doesn't overextend just for this. She knows that whatever Shaedys might think of her advances, that alone won't win her the match.

Ariana claws onto the top of a pillar and tries to stay out of sight from Nathan. Ariana uses her lightsaber to slice a piece off one of the decorative animal heads on the ceiling. She holds the stone piece in one claw and her lightsaber in the other. After a quick look at Nathans current position she jumped down and flew straight at him. At the moment she jumped she quickly tossed the rock piece at Nathan and said: "Catch!" Using the rock as a distraction Ariana rushed at Nathan quickly slashing at him with her lightsaber to force him out of his cover. She tried to push Nathan into a corner where he could not hide behind the pillars.
