[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Every part of his marine training screamed at him that what he was going to do next was a bad idea.

Nathan sighed.

"Fine, while you waist time with that I'm going to finish this mission."

And with that he left the room.

He sneaked back to the kings ship, hoping the way he used earlier was still clear, but making sure it was before he tried it.

Shebi Ajava heard Nathan clearly, and was a little surprised. Before he left the room, she said: "Nathan. I advice you not to do something stupid. We were sent as a team, but I will not take the fall for your stubbornness. If Nalan just explains what actually happened, we can be discussing the would-be king issue in about ten minutes."

She was not going to stop him if he still wanted to leave, but she was not planning on getting reprimanded by the masters for the actions of one of her team mates who decided to go rogue.

Nalan was shocked how a strange experiance for her changed into 'betraying' the group. But glad that Nathan showed support of her. But alas the only one it seems. She tried to recall the events it took place and replied with as much control as she could. Even though she was a bit scared having three Jedi who appear to make themself battle ready.

"I don't know what your experiences are on other missions. But for me this one is rather new. As I walked for the computer everything was fine at first. Like previously stated, nothing was sensed. But suddenly I was touched by this woman and she stopped me from snooping around. Although not clear at first after I noticed her she indeed, felt normally. Whether this is something that she did or perhaps it is the way of the force pointing me in her direction that I 'had' to meet her. I have no idea. Like Nathan fittingly says we are all padawan and I for one have no idea really what to think of this. If it where up to me I would of liked more time on this matter to talk too this woman and discover what happened. But it seems we're on a tight schedule.

I can only say that 'no' I am not withholding any information about any of this here. I am sure ALL make mistakes here. For none of us are perfect now are we. I suppose we would be masters quite fast if we where perfect being's. So I might have messed up in a strange way. It might be some other cause for this. You can choose to trust me or you cannot. If you want to know for sure you can help me by finding out more about this woman. But in the mean time I, like Shebi Ajave here, also do not mean to thrown anyone in a war when the information is unclear."

Nalan took a deep breath. She does not like this interrogation because in her eyes it laid out of her power what went wrong. But it was up too the others at this point.

"So... how about we stop a war from happening here"

[Shebi Ajava]

Shebi Ajava gave Nalan a suspicious look. "Care to explain why you only now tell us this, and why you previously explained to us how this woman was like she wasn't there?" Shebi Ajava waited, but only shortly. "You know. Let's make sure we prevent unnecessary bloodshed, and I'll leave further investigations of your behaviour up to the masters."

As Nalan's explanation took a few moments, Ajava decided to contact Nathan.

"Nathan. I hope you haven't started a war yet...", Ajava used her communicator to contact the cyborg, knowing that whatever he was doing, it wouldn't give him away due to this internal receiver. "Nalan explained the situation, and we'll leave it at that for now. We're going to discuss what to do about the would-be king and how we could prevent a war. You might want to be here."

[Nalan Passik]

"I said that because that was the case before detection. perhaps I should of clarified that she also became normal for me while I was speaking to her. But since I was not able to detect her beforehand was the new strange part I focused my explanation on that part. So I apologize for any confusion I might have caused."

Nalan was still strangely intrigued about the entire ordeal. She hoped to have a chance to investigate this further in the future.

[Shebi Ajava]

"Next time, try to be concise. Me and Ariana ran into a group of operatives from the Slave Rebellion that could not be sensed in the force, as if they weren't there. But your eyes tell you that they are, and this creates the most unpleasant feeling. As you told us this woman could not be sensed in the force, we assumed that you meant that she couldn't be sensed in the force. Not that you didn't sense her coming towards you."

[Ariana Danacia]

Ariana moved her claws away from her light sabers, she was satisfied with the current answer for now.

"Let's focus our efforts on the matter at hands. We still have to decide about the future of Scir. I am not sure what the best choice is.

I think that the king is a strong leader and Scir is in need of strong leadership. Otherwise his claim is very weak, if we don't support him the investigation will take a long time and the process could cost many lives.

As a Praetorian I would choose for his leadership, profit and stability, but as a Jedi I am still uncertain."

[Fecta Trigiel]

"Nathan, we have settled the Issue. Please don't start a war on your own, that would be very undesirable." Trigiel said over the communicator.

Trigiel opened a new document on the holodisplay. "I think we should put the con's and pro's next to each other and determine what the best course is for the people of Scir."

King in acknowledged

• Evidence is pointing out he is the true king
• He probably would be a tyrant oppressing his people
• He might be a nice and pleasant leader as well, we are not certain
• Profit for our homeworlds.
• If he is not the king, this would reflect on the jedi as that we are weak and easily deceived, opening ways of other frauds to do as they please.

King dismissed

• People of Scir likely divided
• Civil war very likely -> Scir then no longer sovereign in their territory and have to leave the Union
• People are free to follow their believes and they can decide what they trully want together
• If the King is the true king, this might reflect on us as if the jedi ignore facts and proof, undermining our position as independent objective sources

King eliminated

• removes the whole issue
• status quo is kept
• Its immoral and not our way
• If discovered jedi eliminated the King, this can reflect as jedi kill people who are in their way. Which is a bad image

"Do I miss anything? Based on this I incline to acknowledge the king. This brings the most peace to the people and we have no real evidence that he is a fraud."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

While the assumption he was going to start a war made Nathan angry and thus continue his plan, he turned around and went back.

A few moments later he stepped back into the room with the others, walked to the other side of the room and rested his back against the wall.

He didn't utter a word nor looked at the others.

[Shebi Ajava]

"As I see it, we have little to no actual proof that something fishy is going on here. We know something's off, but we can't prove anything.

The people of Scir could have changed their laws during the time no monarch was present. And since they didn't do this, even after this long a time, they seem to still want to be ruled by their rightful ruler.

Since we can't prove anything, and I do not like to start civil wars, I propose we acknowledge the king."

[Mercury]

"I agree that the evidence is too weak to condemn him. As a Jedi I think this is the right choice.

It seems we are in favor of acknowledging the king.

Nathan or Nalan, do you have anything to add? If this is not the case we have reached a verdict."

[Nalan Passik]

Nalan thought over the information that was available

"I have to agree. Like you I feel something is off about all this. But evidence seems to favour the support of the king and changes for choosing wrong seems to be present in all options Fecta Trigiel pointed out. So in this case the most favourable situation would be to indeed support this king in his claim."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"I say we take him out."

Nathan spoke at last.

"There is still a chance this guy is backed by the Hutts. While there is little evidence, I rather not take the chance of them getting a foothold in Union territory.

But if the four of you are willing to take that risk I will go along with you. Even if I don't think the Jedi Masters will approve the choice."

[Fecta Trigiel]

"If the jedi masters would not appreciate our decision, we wouldn't have been sent to settle this issue. Although I like to have the option to eliminate the king, I don't like the actual execution. It would be based on feelings rather than knowledge. Maybe Hutt operatives are doing a lot of effort so we have the feeling that the king is wrongly the king.

It is settled then, we will officially approve the king."

Then something popped into Trigiels mind: "We should make backups of our findings here in case the investigation would continue some times later."

[Shebi Ajava]

"Why would the Jedi masters, given the current evidence, not approve of the choice? Do you think they would approve of your proposal to just assassinate him?", Shebi Ajava could understand Nathan's attitude, as it wasn't a very uncommon one on Mirda.

"You are right though that there is a significant chance that the would-be king is either backed by the Hutt, or an unwitting pawn of the Hutt."

Telepathically, she contacted Nathan: "How would you take out the would-be king without it blowing back on the Jedi? I understand your attitude towards this obviously manipulated return of the royal family, but I do not see how you would pull this off. You're a soldier, not an assassin, and soldiers tend to go for the direct approach."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Accepting a bribe and a high chance that people from Scir will have to sacrifice freedom? That will really make the Jedi look good." Nathan's voice was sarcastic, if he had eyebrows one of them would be raised.

"Better to kill a few people to save a lot of people. That sounds a lot better to me."

Nathan replied to Ajava via a private comm channel. "Make it look like it was an accident, there's a lot that can go wrong on a ship or spaceport. And few people know we are here. You think the rest of the galaxy will take the word of a stranger over that of a Jedi, without proof?"

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I don't accept the bribe as part of my judgement. According to what we know, this is the rightful ruler. That he provides our faction with benefits is his doing and not taken in my final assessment. Though I must remember that this is noted in the mission report.

We can tell the council that we do not trust this guy and that it is clever to keep an eye on him. Later, he can always disappear again, as what happened with the last royal family."

[Shebi Ajava]

"In all honesty, I would not be surprised if he did disappear, even after we deliver our report the the senator. But that is an internal matter."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Look I already said if the four of you want to accept him I'll go along. That doesn't mean I have to like it."

Nathan looked to the other cyborg.

"I highly doubt people would see it that way. Especially if this comes back to bite 'em."

[Shebi Ajava]

"If you are concerned with how the people will see your world receiving favourable deals and compensation for offered services from Scir, then tell the would-be king so. I'm sure that he won't mind having more money to spend on other things.

In fact, it might be best if we do not accept such bribes. Is anyone against rejecting this blatant bribe? Let us settle this matter before going public with anything."

[Ariana Danacia]

"I agree that we can not accept this bribe, at least not now, since it is too obvious. Still if he wants to promise us good deals for a later moment in the future I am sure that we don't mind. "

"I will create a report of our findings. We can give it to the senator and king later. Before we do this I will encrypt it and send it to the Jedi temple on Unity."

Ariana starts collecting all the evidence into one document.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I also have no problems with not accepting the bribes.

I also think that we have to speak with the masters before sending anything to the senator and especially the king."

[Shebi Ajava]

"Do you think that if the masters felt the need to guide us every step, they would have sent us on this mission?

I see that we have come to a conclusion, and that we will just send the encrypted report to the Jedi temple before making the results public, as Arianna proposes. If we send it directly to master Screetor, I am sure that he will contact us if he wishes to remark on the report. It'll just take ten minutes.

Once the report is finished, we'll send it, wait for a quarter to allow master Screetor to reply if he wishes, and then we'll deliver the report to both the senator and the would-be king. We'll first deliver it to the senator, and than to the King.

Any objections?"

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I think you misinterpret me. What I meant to say that we should not let sensitive information like the details of our report leak into the world. Sending reports to the King and the Senator is not what we are here for.

Also, I have no objections."
