Shaedys also keeps walking forward. He sees Nathan rushing ahead and taking point again. So he keeps walking behind Nalan, being the last in the line.

He pays attention to his surroundings, especially his back, as the other 2 jedi probably aren't watching this angle as much. As it is a training exercise, he expects something strange to happen at any moment.

((OOC: I'm sorry for the late reply. I have been having some internet issues lately making it really diffecult to be online at all. let alone make posts. I was planning to respond but.. Could not. Good of you to carry on regardless :)))

Nalan was spaced out lost in a certain trail of thought. Nathan rushed by her since it is much easier for him to cross these harsh jungle paths. Nalan was slightly started by the sudden overtaking but it snapped her back into reality none the same.

"Wow sorry guys. I was just.. thinking of something." With regained focus she once more followes the trail of the water.
"The camp could be near the river but it can be that our person is not there. At this moment we have no idea if he is still there or not or lost in the woods somewhere."

Nalan looks above here and looks for a high ground in the vorm of a hill or perhaps a tree to climb in. "Perhaps one of us can climb in one of these trees to get a better view of the area to see if there is indeed a camp nearby or any other visual marks to investigate". Next to looking for a high Nalan also tries to search for signs or tracks in the surroundings that that was a person here. ((Check: 6 = 5 Force Level + 1 Tracking and Navigation -- ))

The padawans are walking in the jungle and taking a good look around. Nathan spots some interesting animals and plant from various world living here. There is a tree legged wildcat, large butterflies with very long proboscis and he sees how a bird is caught by a flesh-eating plant. While Nathan looks around Nalan looks down, she can find tracks of the wildcat but also of some birds and reptile, there are no tracks of a person. The wildlife here does not seems to be any immediate threat for the Jedi.

((OOC: Nalan you have a good high score, but he did not pas here. (and tracks will not last long in the jungle)))

The padawans will not need to climb a tree for a good view. The plateau at the beginning had given them the best view. The river flows in the middle of the dome and they need to walk a kilometer through the jungle to reach it. The trees are too high and dense to see what is next to the river, they have to walk there and see.

Nalan was annoyed by the fact that she could not find anything special around her.

"Well I suppose we should just carry on. So far it does not seem there is any danger or points of interest here."

Nalan starts to venture forth towards the river. Fighting through the harsh jungle. She will keep her eyes open but will carry on till she reaches the river.

((OOC: Yeah taking checks is still new for me and did not figure I needed to press two buttons. I will keep this in mind for future checks. :)))

When they reached the river, Nathan took a good long look around.
It didn't seem as if he would be able to spot something from here.

"I think we should head up stream." he said. "If the camp turns out to be down stream we will save time in the long run."

He took another look along the riverbank.

((OOC: I'd like to know some visible details on the river bank. If there is a peace to walk on/wade trough))

The padawans make their way through the jungle. Paradise birds are flying past them and Nathan warns the others when there seems to be a huge snake on their path, which just looked like a log.

After half an hour walk they can hear the river, but not see it yet. Slowly the jungle becomes less dense and then they stand in front of it. In just a few meters the jungle turns from solid ground to a big strong flowing river. Some big reptiles with big jaws and a horn are lurking in the swallow parts between the trees. At the moment they did not seem interested in tasting Jedi, they were aiming higher. Above them they could hear the calls of monkeys. There are about fifty sitting on the branches of the threes, swinging on a twig or hanging in lianas.

The river is quite wide and the other side looked no different except that no reptiles are lurking around. Upon closer inspection the Jedi see a little bit upstream some kind of anchoring spot with a wooden hut. This could be the camp master Meridan meant. They just need to cross the river but that will not be easy. With the strong current swimming is dangerous. With some help of the force one could jump about ¾ of the distance, so you would need some kind of aide for the last part. Otherwise the Jedi can walk up or downstream and try to find a crossing, they could see none from here.

((OOC: I was getting to the river. But I also want to give you some time to roleplay. Wauw, everybody has force jump, but you need to do something extra to make it.))

Shaedys speeds up for the last leg, hearing the river clearly and marching toward it, arriving there first. He takes one look at the river, considering the width of the river and the current.

He turns his head around to talk back to the other jedi "The current seems quite strong, I'm not sure we could all swim across, and this is going to be hard to just jump across. We might be able to increase the length of the jump with a running start and some telekinetic power, or we could just build a raft and paddle across. What do you guys think, any other suggestions?"

He shrugs raises his shoulders at the last bit, starting to look for trees that might be used to build a raft.

"I think building a raft would take to long and I don't think I could use my telekinesis like that."

Taking another look at both sides of the river, he got an idea.

"Shaedys can you give me your rope?" He asked.
((OOC: For convenience I am assuming the rope is made from some Star Wars like material, making it very light and virtually unbreakable. Also that it's long enough to span the river.))

After receiving the rope, Nathan walked to a close, strong looking tree and tied one end of the rope to it. Approximately 1,50 meters from the surface of the water. He tide the other end around his waist.

He stood a few meters from the river edge and tapped into the Force. He shot forward, using the Force to speed him up further. ((Check: 11 = 4 Force Level + 4 Fitness + 2 Athletics + 1 Force Speed -- )) When he hit the river, he used the Force to jump. Increasing his jumping distance by his forward momentum. ((Check: 11 = 4 Force Level + 4 Fitness + 2 Athletics + 1 Force Jump -- ))

((OOC: He tied the rope around his waist in case he didn't make the jump, he wouldn't get dragged of by the current.))

Nathan takes a long force enforced run towards the river and jumps across. He makes a mighty fly and lands just outside the shallow parts in the river. As his body is made of heavy metal, he sinks and goes just under water. He soon hits the muddy bottom, only his antenna ears pop out of the water, and he is not wasted away due to his heavy weight. He could now walk to the shore.

((OOC: Nathan you are a cyborg, so should worry more about sinking not the drifting away.))

As Nathan hit the bottom he saw a small fish only a few centimetres from his face. The fish quickly swam away hitting him in the face with it's tale as it did.

He started walking over the bottom back to land. When he was out off the water he looked for another strong tree. Finding one he took the rope from his waist and tied it to the tree, making sure the rope wasn't stretched to tight.

Looking to the other two jedi on the other side of the river he yelled.

"Use the rope to cross the river! One at a time!"

Normally he would have used the comms but since he was the only one to bring a communicator, he had to shout.
((OOC: I didn't know how strong the current was stuiter and it was also to keep his hands free. :)))

Nalan was impressed by the solution of Nathan and joyfully clapped in aproval.

"Well I suppose i'll try it then. " Nalan moves up to the rope and makes sure her hold is tight enough to fall in the water.
Nalan starts to climb to the other side using the rope.

((OOC: Nalan, you indead should make a check (could use athletics as skill if you had it). Nalan: Hold tight enough to fall in the water? forgetting a not?

Shaedys observes Nathan jump across and attach the rope, as well as Nalan starting to make her way across.

He nods and says "Good going, suppose I go across now as well." waiting for Nalan to get to the other side first. He took a look at the rope, then slowly to the flowing water. He then grabbed on to the rope and moved hand by hand across the river. ((Check: 11 = 5 Force Level + 5 Fitness + 1 Athletics -- ))

Nalan climbs into the ropes and scrambles her way across. The river is wide and in the centers she gets awfully close to the river and some of her cloths get a bit wet. It takes her some time to get across, but she then finally hits the ground on the other side. Now it is Shaedys turn to scrambles into the rope. He is quite agile and he looks like a monkey. In no time he reaches the other side without getting wet. While waiting, Nathan had time to look around. A little further in the jungle he finds a path that would lead to wooden hut.

Nalan awaits the last person to arrives via the ropes and tries to get the water of the the cloths that got wet.

"Well now thats over and done with, we can see what is in that hut over there. Maybe our target is in trouble and we can find some clues"

After a quick check of the area Nalan does not waste any time and heads towards the wooden hut.

"Affirmative. Come on lets move it people."

He said as he moved after Nalan. He switched to infra-red vision and started looking for heat signatures that could be a person. ((Check: 8 = 4 Force Level + 4 Vision -- ))

Landing on the other side, he saw the other two jedi already making progress to the hut. He figured he wouldn't need the rope any more, or they could use it when they would eventually go back, so he left it behind and started to move after them, checking the ground for any tracks a person might have left earlier. ((Check: 9 = 5 Force Level + 4 Vision -- ))

The path to the hut is small and sometimes a tree seems to block the way. Luckily, the padawans can follow the path with their good vision. Nalan is first to arrive at a small clearing. There is the hut with two windows and a door. Next to it is a picnic table under a roof and a small pier. There is no boot docked. Nathan takes a look around, but the only warm-blooded creatures are some birds on the roof and the table happily hopping around. While the other two are looking around, Shaedys looks towards the ground. There are some footprints barely visible. A person has walked around the picnic table and to and from the hut. They then go towards the north upstream on another small path.

Nathan switched back to normal vision.

"Nalan see anything you can track?"

[Shaedys]

"I can see tracks going north on a small path, and this camp is near a river, so it is probably where we want to go." Shaedys said as he started to walk, moving slowly at first, waiting for the others but it they would not interrupt him he would start tracking the footsteps north. ((Check: 9 = 5 Force Level + 4 Vision -- ))

Shaedys has no trouble to finding the path and following the tracks. But the question is whether the others will following him.

((OOC: You need to determine your course of action, so we can continue. Taking time for roleplaying and talking is fine, but we cannot wait endlessly for a reply. The posting speed is two times a week. If that is two fast just say so we can drop it to once a week.))

Nathan started following the path and the footsteps. ((Check: 8 = 4 Force Level + 4 Vision -- ))

The two padawans walk again into the jungle while Nalan stays at the hut. The path follows the river upstream for some time. Big butterflies are sitting on colorful flowers who are chairsized, birds are singing and bugs are buzzing. The path then suddenly turns west and starts climbing and rising. The track still continue on and to their right and left walls are rising. The tracking becomes harder to follow as the ground becomes more rockier. As the trail seem to vanish they stand in front of a cave and the entrance is covered with lianas.

((OOC: I am leaving Nalan at the hut as you did not respond. If you want you finish the mission run after the guys asap.))

Nathan looked at Shaedys.

"Shall we go in?"

Without waiting for a response he turned around, grabbed one of his combat knives and started cutting away some of the lianas.
