Force Power Proposal: Lockpick

Why?
While I was updating my jedi with all his unspent points, I realised that I liked force powers, but none of the powers seems really fitting at the moment for my jedi. After some thinking I came to the realisation that this is because most powers are oriented towards either fix your organic inferiority or be some sort of magician. Of course jedi are space magicians, but at the same time it made me thinking how a cyborg/ mechanical oriented person would handle the force, and I came to the following idea.Actual proposal
Lockpick
power:The jedi let them be guided by the force when opening doors and locks.Level 1: The jedi can use the force to open a lock. This might require a check when the jedi tries to open more advanced locks in stead of a normal door lock.
Level 2: The jedi can open doors with the force, even if this door is protected by some sort of security system. However, the door will only open when it has an automatic opening system, otherwise the jedi needs telekinesis to open the door with the force.
Level 3: The jedi now can bypass security systems to enter areas he otherwise is not allowed in to. He cannot fake an identity, but the system will simply no longer keep the jedi out.
Justification
In the movie Star Wars Episode 2 you see Obi Wan using the force to open doors. When he fights Jango at min. 2:17 for example. And at Geonisis as well but I couldn't find a decent YouTube video as this was the one part of the entire move that was blocked... (seriously only part 1, 7 and 10 were blocked, logic somewhere?) I think that the jedi not necessarily uses the force to change programming or circuit boards, but he just 'flips the internal switch' so the door goes open. Mechanical locks are fine art so I think it is justified to use a special force power to unlock this instead of telekinesis. With digital locks the jedi just flips the mechanical part. He does nothing with the digital part. Please let me hear what you think :)
I think that the force is not something that interacts well with technology. Though there are some examples of force-related technologies (such as force crystals, holocrons or force-related hyperdrives), the force is normally not used to directly influence technology on a high level.
This power seems to be a combination of the Telekinesis power (which can be used to pry open doors and mechanical locks) and the Slicing skill (which is used to hack stuff).
Very fine physical manipulation is best done through Telekinesis, thought it might have a very high difficulty; intricate hacking and manipulation of technology should not be a force power in my opinion.
Overloading security systems with Force Lightning is the most detailed interaction I would see working, and that is basically a blanket 'disable everything'. In fact, as an ST I would allow creative use of that power together with telekinesis to actually open electronically locked doors.
So, to conclude I am not in favour of this proposed power.

I think lock picking is more a skill than a force power.

I think lockpicking (and slicing) are more skills than Force Powers. Picking a lock does not require the Force, generally, and in situations where it applies, you can use Energy for example as a stat to justify this.
That said, I think we need to look at this at a more fundamental level, because what you mention is not wanting the specific ability to pick locks, but rather you seem to be looking for powers that fit with a more mechanic oriented character, correct?
I think we can arrange something along those lines, so I propose brainstorming (perhaps in a different topic) about how we can fulfil this desire.
