The tier II Niman moderation style.

I see the point with using force powers in combat situations but a +2 on check for every maneuver is so lame... This style will need better effects from the maneuvers.

I'm open to suggestions, of course. But if you read the style fluff, it is basically intended as a 'lame' style :P

It even states "Ultimately, Niman's success in combat is dependent on a practitioner's intuition and creativity in combat, rather than the rote responses common to the other forms." which is both an IC and OOC hint.

I like the balance of this style, it really brings forward the way of the jedi in my opinion.

I have the idea that compared to the other styles the special manoeuvres are way underpowered. I suggest either 1 dot extra, or 1 dot less on the manoeuvres from other styles.

We saw there were severe errors in the manoeuvres. We editted them to be the way they should be: perfectly balanced and boring.

However, we agree that the prerequiste of <force power, rank 2> might warrant an extra +1 offensive dot... Or we should lower the prerequisite power rank to 1.

given the rate force powers are given at this moment, the prerequisite of 2 is indeed a little high. Maybe when more force powers are given as rewards one way or another the prerequisite is fine, with the +2 dots per manoeuvre will the style be a lot more viable (and still boring :P )

There are 2 dots per manoeuvre: 1 offensive, and 1 defensive... At least, that's after the fixing I posted about in my previous post.

The idea is that the style remains in balance at all times, with the exact amount of dots in offence as in defence. (Only the 'dark' manoeuvre unbalances the style, allowing for a nice Tier III 'fallen master' type style; like jedi master Exar Kun)

This style is so incredibly boring! I like it!

The manoeuvres appear to me to be balanced, though I would not add the fourth special manoeuvre, at the very least not until Force Lightning is actually fully worked out.

The style is a tad on the weak side for a Tier II style. However; it requires only Shii-Cho, and can be taken at character creation... As there is virtually no prerequisite cost attached to obtaining this style, we think it could be an example of a weak Tier II stykle.

After some deliberation, we think the is balanced. The manoeuvres are roughly on par with Hawk-Bat Swoop, and we think that people's opinion on the price of the prerequisites is coloured by the lack of Force Power rewards up til now.

We agree that the Piercing Strike should not be added until a good follow-up style is available.
