[ Senate ] Senator Kachiso Doshima announces candidacy (241-260)

"My fellow Senators,
We have had a term of disappointment. A term marked by pointless glorification of members of state. A term where the cabinet barely listened to the senate. A term where the chancellor failed to make good on his campaign promises.
The growth of Union economy is slowing down. We are running out of room for expansion. I wish to reinvigorate this growth by increasing our ability to expand. By stimulating colonisation I believe we can not just continue our economic expansion, but also advance our technology.
If I am elected I will insure there is a unified cabinet, that listens to the senate. If you want the Union to grow and a leader that will listen, I am your candidate."
The candidacy of Senator Kachiso Doshima was immediately seconded after his speech by the Senators of the Veolian Commonwealth and the Praetorian Empire.
